Death... and me

Chapter 3338: Make Me Speak

Chapter 3338: Make Me Speak

Body Cultivation Techniques that use Starlight Energy aren't anything new. Even back in Lisan, they existed. It's just that no one knew about how to find their own star in the midst of countless stars in the Universe. In the end, everyone who cultivated with Starlight Energy had to use the Starlight Energy from Stars that weren't theirs, greatly impairing their cultivation progress.

It was to the point that most thought of the Starlight Body Cultivation Technique as a terrible technique, and very few managed to find the right star by pure luck. They were now top experts of Lisan, and they also participated in the war. A good example was the Sect Leader of the Rambram Sect, Fosleve.

Yet, what the girl gave Rean right now was a piece of crystal filled with Starlight Energy... 'clear' Starlight Energy. The type of energy that could be absorbed by anyone without any drawbacks. It was also the same type the twins and Kentucky used from the Fragments. Emaniora's group also understood that, and it was obvious the reason for the region around Valames City to be blocked. The leaders of the various powers around there probably found out the same thing. If Starlight Energy was readily available, and pure energy at that, then it would be a great boom to any power that cultivated with it. Emaniora and her friends just so happen to use Body Cultivation Techniques based on Starlight Energy as well.

Yet, since they couldn't find the source, they could only employ the help of experts who lived in the region or those from outside with a particularly useful set of skills, just like Rean and his friends.

'There is no doubt the information regarding Starlight Energy is being screened in the network,' Rean commented through the twins' connection.

Roan didn't mind it. 'Let it be. The less others know about it, the better. We need to find this source for ourselves.'

Rean nodded, and his group moved to the Formations Guild team that was gathering. At the same time, he added Emaniora and her friends to his assistants in the Formations Guild network, using a link provided when he was accepted in the city.

The various Formations Masters and their assistants waited in separate groups, waiting for the time of departure. At the front, the leader of that convoy, a man in the Initial Stage of the Elemental Space Realm, waited patiently as he played with a few runes in his hand. He seemed quite focused on those runes, not paying attention to those joining at all. Well, he didn't need to since everyone would be screened before entering the White Fog area anyway.

Time continued to pass, and soon, the two hours went by. The man finally put the runes away, seemingly a little disappointed, and then turned to everyone his guild recruited. "Alright, you can call me Sami. You are the ones getting into that region now. Let's not waste time and go." Space power gathered, and in front of everyone, a relatively medium-sized Airship appeared, coming from inside Sami's Pocket-Dimensional Realm. All around, the other powers, like sects, organizations, clans, etc, also brought out their own Airships, and their teams entered inside.

That was the best way to bring the whole group together without the necessity of a Spatial Gate or putting everyone inside Sami's Pocket Dimensional Realm. After all, no one would enter anyone else's Pocket Dimensional Realm if they could help it.

The various airships departed under the gaze of various jealous eyes who failed to make it into the teams. On the way, the people gathered in the waiting room while Sami gave them an explanation of the situation.

"Here's what you need to know. First, you will be assigned a region inside the White Fog area to investigate. Look for any clues regarding the events in Valames City. We are the Formations Guild, so you better pay even more attention to the possibility of a Natural Formation being in place as well."

"Now, your positions will be assigned according to the average cultivation level of your groups. It goes without saying that the higher your cultivation, the closer to the epicenter you will be sent to investigate. Forget about Divine Senses. It simply doesn't work in there." Someone immediately raised his hand. "Sir, we heard about the Starlight Energy Crystals. There is also the city itself, which might have many resources lying around depending on what happened to the populace inside. Are there any crystals to be found further away from the epicenter?"

"Hmph!" Sami snorted. "We made it clear during the recruitment that the intention was to help find the reason for the phenomenon. If you are here, then you shouldn't bother thinking about resources. However, you are right in your assumptions. There aren't as many of those crystals further away from the center of the event. We will let you keep whatever you find, though. The only rule is that you must report back if you find anything related to the source. The reward will definitely be worth more than any amount of Starlight Energy crystals you find or even the resources you might be able to plunder from the city."

Several of the groups narrowed their eyes. There were many of them that had an average level around Late Void Tempering or Initial Stage Space Bending. Meanwhile, there were also many with an average level above that. Those groups with the lowest average could already see themselves being sent to the outskirts of the phenomenon, not being able to gain much with this endeavor.

Emaniora also noticed that, and she and her friends felt disheartened. Their group has only one Peak Void Tempering Realm, with the rest being below that. They would definitely be sent far away. Will they really get anything like that?

Yet, it was at that moment that Rean spoke. "Sir, can you send my group to investigate the center together with the high-level groups?"

Sami looked at Rean, and the disdain on his face when he saw Rean's cultivation was obvious. "Stop asking for the impossible. Just be happy you are even here."

Yet, Rean smiled in response. "Help me with that, and I'll tell you why your seven-phased conduit circuitry rune isn't connecting to the flowing energy runes."

Sami's disdain instantly disappeared and shook appeared on his face. "You... How did you know that?"

Rean shrugged. "I can tell you... and you know how to make me speak."
