Death... and me

Chapter 3323: Hope to Answer

Chapter 3323: Hope to Answer

Arriving at the teleport formations, Rean and Zangeshu requested information regarding the lockdown. "The Tamers Guild caused the lockdown? Can they do that?" Rean found it strange. The Tamers Guild was big, but it was far from being able to close the entire city as many other powers also found branches here.

"What do you mean you don't understand either?" Rean narrowed his eyes.

"We are also a little puzzled. The Tamers Guild is indeed behind this situation, but we don't know what they did to manage to force this lockdown to the City Lord," the Formations Master there explained. "All we know is that the branch here was assaulted, and the assailants even stole their main building tree. I guess they are quite enraged due to the humiliation."

Rean sighed, scratching the back of his head. How could he not know the reason? It was Kentucky, and the Divine Parasol Tree Kentucky 'stole' from them. Zangeshu also understood that, but neither of them said anything.

"How long will this continue?" Rean asked, already feeling impatient.

"I'm now sure," the guy answered. "What I know is that it seems like we are waiting for someone to arrive. They haven't told me much, but it seems like a big shot is coming to check the situation."

The Formations Master looked around, then got close to Rean, whispering. 'Truth be told, I don't think it is this simple. I mean... sure, the tree was stolen, but it was just a tree. That's the Tamer's Guild issue, not ours. Why would the entire city be locked down just because of that? Doesn't that seem suspicious?'

Rean nodded slightly to the man. He knew the reason. Pretty much no one knew that the tree was actually a Divine Demon Tree. It still didn't explain how the entire city was locked down since the guy was right about that being a problem of the Tamers Guild only. 'Well, we can only wait.'

As if! Rean had absolutely no intention of staying in the city for much long. Since Kentucky was the reason, it was best to disappear as fast as possible. Sure, he was confident no one would find Kentucky in the Dimensional Realm. Nonetheless, why leave it up to fate.

Rean and Zangeshu left the building, heading straight for the city exit. To make things more simple, Rean also sent Zangeshu into the Dimensional Realm, intending to leave on his own first. Looking to the skies, Rean could see the formation of the city, although it was a pretty common one at the Golden Level, just to control the flow of cultivators going in and out.

'Sister Orb, can you arrange to- ' He was just about to ask Sister Orb to hack into it and open a breach in the formation so he could pass through without using the exits. However, it was at that moment that a strong Divine Sense passed through his body, soon covering the entire city. 'Space-Time Realm Peak Stage...' Rean narrowed his eyes.

*Bang!*

Above the city, a gigantic root appeared, striking the protection formation and shattering it in an instant. The root then quickly disappeared, like it was just a projection of the real thing. Then, a man came floating down, his body almost three meters tall. He had several features of a Demon Plant race on his body, even though he was in his humanoid form. Looking at him, Rean quickly recognized the features. It was definitely a Parasol Tree, the one one so-called Gian. 'Another Divine Parasol Tree? Are they this common in this continent?' Rean wondered at first.

Nonetheless, Rean looked away, ignoring the man. All he had to do now was use his Light and Divine Sense Bending Skill and fly out of the city. The guy who had just arrived had already taken care of the formation for him.

He didn't have the chance to do that, though.

*Truuu!*

Out of nowhere, another huge root appeared, this time sprouting from the ground right below Rean's location. Without another choice, Rean flashed away from his position, appearing tens of meters away.

"Not bad, not bad..." Soon after, the man landed on a nearby building, talking to Rean down below. "Only in the Initial Stage of the Void Tempering Realm, and yet, your reaction and speed were faster than any Space Bending Realm expert I know. Impressive, truly impressive..."

Rean looked up to the building, where the Peak Stage Space-Time Realm Parasol Tree was observing him. "Sir, did I do anything to offend you? I don't remember ever seeing you before."

"Hmph!" Gian snorted. "Are you sure? Then how come you have my little Ridia inside your Pocket Dimensional Realm? You have a lot of guts to lie on my face like that."

"Little... Ridia?" Rean didn't need to think much to understand. The guy was definitely talking about the Parasol Tree he had inside his Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.

"What? Do you have a problem with her name?" Gian asked back, his expression turning

worse.

Rean pondered a bit, shaking his head. "Naturally, I have nothing against it. How could a puny Void Tempering Realm cultivator like me understand the thoughts of such a high and mighty cultivator like sir? By the way, what do you mean about me having your Little Ridia?"

At the same time, Rean talked to Sister Orb. 'What is happening here? How can he tell the Parasol Tree is inside our Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm? Sister Orb, did you let anything escape the confines of the Dimensional Realm? Nothing was supposed to escape it, no?'

[You know very well that if it is related to some kind of energy or signal that I'm not aware of the existence, I can't block it,] Sister Orb answered. [As for everything else that I know about, I can guarantee that nothing escaped. However, I don't think he can feel the little girl inside the Dimensional Realm. It is most likely something else.]

Rean wondered just what could have revealed him. He could only hope Gian would answer his question.
