THE PRIMORDIAL RECORD

Chapter 1396 Special Attention

Chapter 1396  Special Attention

Diane observed the Celestials, those famed defenders of reality, who largely claimed that they were the last stand against barbarity sweeping through reality—descend on the countless worlds of the Vyraak Dominion just like locusts alongside the Chaos Bloods. In the period before law and order reasserted itself, she understood that these Primordial Dominions would be plundering as much of reality as they could get away with.

The mode of operation of these two separate attackers was different, but their goals were the same: to harvest every mortal soul that they could find and use them for the valuable resource that they represented.

The Celestials carried multiple ships in their thousands that were larger than stars, each of them shining equally as bright making their shapes to be largely indiscernible. Beams of bright light shone out repeatedly from the ships like strobe lights, and when they reached a planet, every single sentient and sapient organism was collected, leaving the world barren of all life. Souls were a valuable currency that could only be found in the lower realms, and the greed for this resource was inestimable.

Diane recognized that these beams of light emerging from the Celestial ships were related to the Creator’s Astrolabe, but they were different, like comparing the glow of a firefly to a sun.

A single beam of Rowan’s Astrolabe could travel through this entire dimension and collect every single thing inside of it, both living and nonliving, but for the Celestials, this ability seemed to be tied to the ship and not the Angels themselves, and of the Angels that she could see here—after her familiarity with the Creators own—all seemed incredibly lackluster.

Perhaps it was because of Rowan’s ability to harness multiple bloodlines or the place where he had sourced his Angels, which had been corrupted by Abyssal forces; the Angels he was able to summon were different from the original template of Angels.

Not even considering the ability of Rowan’s Angels to merge with other lifeforms and improve their ranks that these Angels here could not achieve, Diane noticed that there was something about the light that emerged from their wings and bodies that made them feel almost like living machines.

Diane had always associated the light from Rowan’s Angels to be one that was filled with vibrancy and steadfastness. Their pious nature and quiet strength were greatly inspiring, and she could find no better partner in a battle than an Angel by her side. They would never falter, they would fight to the end, and not because they were machines that had been programmed to do these things, but because it was the core of who they were—The light of the Creator, the herald of his Will.

However, these Angels from Primordial Light were different, their light was cold and distant, and something about the flames on their wings almost felt fake. As is only the glow of the fire could be seen, and the heat was gone. Something had been stolen from their Light and it had never been replaced.

The Chaos Bloods, on the other end, did not bother fishing for mortals on the planets; they simply shattered worlds and stars, harvesting the souls of the dead directly. Massive living ships made more from flesh than metal tore through billions of worlds in mere moments, the powers of these higher dimensional beings accelerating the unraveling of this universe.

What was rather interesting about these living ships was that they were not made, instead they were the transformed bodies of Chaos Bloods.

This was a unique spell that could transform a Chaos Blood into another form, due to the effects of Primordial Chaos on their bloodlines, they could assume the shape of massive living ships with great destructive capabilities.

Diane wanted to interfere in this process, with the way things were heading and the unexpected collapse of the universe happening much quicker than she had anticipated, if events continued to transpire in this manner, then it would not be long for the hands of the Chaos Blood and Celestials and every other higher dimensional power to enter the universes under Rowan’s control, but she still hesitated to make her move because the sense of danger she was feeling rushing towards this universe had reached a blinding level, and like a nearly drowned man that finally escaped the deep and breathes in the air, the tension building in her soul suddenly dissipated, to be replaced by a subtle weight, that she knew was not relief but acceptance.

‘The danger had arrived.’

Her perception swept around the entire universe, but she did not detect any foreign presence, that was until she felt once more, the Will of the Universe, but how could it be possible? The Will of the Universe had been destroyed. “Desolators!!!”

A roar filled with a sort of anguish and despair that was hard to imagine rippled through the entire universe, drawing all activities to a halt.

This immortal was on his knees, naked and heavily bleeding from deep wounds that showed his bones, and he looked wretched, smaller than the rest of his species, almost appearing like a teenager, nonetheless, this immortal Vyraak held power that left Diane dumbfounded. Diane could now locate the source of her unease, and it was from a nondescript immortal, that was plainly from the Vyraak Dominion based on his scaly skin that covered their bodies, the short tails, the third eyes that they had on their chest which was usually enclosed by armor, and their signature hair knots that was extremely complex braidings.

This immortal was on his knees, naked and heavily bleeding from deep wounds that showed his bones, and he looked wretched, smaller than the rest of his species, almost appearing like a teenager, nonetheless, this immortal Vyraak held power that left Diane dumbfounded. It was already amazing enough that a single universe held five God Emperors, but there was another God Emperor who had not revealed himself, and he was not just at the seventh-dimensional level, he also had a piece of the Universe Will within his body. The last piece of the puzzle on how this universe had been able to exist for so long and generate so many God Kings and God Emperors had finally been resolved, and Diane knew that she was looking at the best that this race had to offer, their Supreme Genius and if she was not wrong, Vyraak himself, an immortal who was able to sway the Will of a Universe.

Greedy eyes turned towards this new arrival, and the top echelons of both the Celestial and the Chaos Blood rushed towards him; the unexpected destruction of the universe had caught them unaware, but if they could harvest the remnants of the Will within this immortal, they could more than makeup for this loss.

Diane instead retreated, due to the sense of danger that had expired at first had returned in a frenzy, she piled on more speed, not caring if she would be detected as she wanted to escape from this place as quickly as possible, there was something extremely wrong with Vyraak, her attention was still fixed on the unknown immortal who begins to slowly stand from his kneeling position as he spoke,

“I call upon the last Will of my Dominion. Watch my hands. Watch my eyes. See as I craft a fitting burial shroud for you. None of you pillagers shall leave here alive! This. I. Swear.”

The body of Vyraak began to collapse into itself as if a black hole had been placed inside his chest, and then with a roar that could be heard throughout creation, something exploded out of the remnants of Vyraak, scaly and massive on a level that size became meaningless, the crowd of Chaos Bloods and Celestials that were racing towards Vyraak began to hurriedly backtrack because they could detect something brewing inside of this immortal that broke all their minds, but it was already too late.

A wave of power erupted from the being that Vyraak was transforming into, and for countless light-years across, this power froze everything in place, even Diane who was fleeing did not escape from the hold of this power, and her eyes widened when she noted signs that this immortal was on his way to push towards a higher dimensional level.

This meant if he succeeded, he would become an eighth-dimensional immortal!

Unknown to the Handmaiden of the Creator, every Angel was not just the eyes of Rowan; they also served as beacons that transmitted relevant information that Rowan would have to take as a priority, especially if he was occupied by other matters. The blinking red notification that he had responded to was because the Angels here realized that this situation was special enough to call his attention.
