It didn't take long for both Natasha and Adam to be pushed out while Cecilia started cuddling Makoto and Fedora.
"I always wanted a cute daughter to pamper."
Ignoring the fact that Cecilia was implying that Natasha wasn't cute, it was funny to see Fedora simply resign to her fate.
"Mom also likes squeezing and pampering Fedora like this. I guess she realized there was no escape."
Adam snickered at this.
Soon both Makarov and Viktor came out of their basement. It seemed like they were done for the day and needed to rest a little.
"Oh? Who is the young lass?"
Makarov was interested at first. But when he learned that Natasha was the one who made sure to put Viktor to safety before coming to help him, his expression changed and he shared a firm handshake while profusely thanking her.
"I would normally offer to make a weapon for you but I don't know if you would need one."
Makarov was quite embarrassed. While he didn't hate supernatural races, as he was friendly with dwarves, he had never really discussed with the more belligerent races like Werewolf.
"Thanks. But I do not…Hum…"
Natasha was about to refuse first. After all, she was a werewolf. One could transform entirely in a wolf form. Her power relied more on her body than anything else.
Furthermore, she could increase or decrease her shape so she did not really need a weapon.
But then stopped herself —
"Well…Perhaps I may have a request."
She was quite hesitant.
"I don't know if it's possible. But can you make an armor that can change shape? Something similar to the armor Miss Cecilia showed up in."
She spoke with a small voice.
This kind of armor was not rare for her. She knew very well that they were military-grade Armor created by [~S.K~] herself.
While the mysterious woman had a line of clothes that could act as armor and were available to anyone no matter what the race, all the armor she created could only exclusively be used by humans.
It was said by many that [~S.K~] alone could change the power balance between humans and the supernatural if she was given enough time.
This was also why her identity was one of the highest secrets.
As she thought, Makarov's expression became a little grave and shook his head,
"For all my skills, I cannot create armor like that girl."
As much as it pained him to admit it. [~S.K~] had reached an entirely different level when it came to her domain.
She was a maestro like him. But one who followed a different path though their goal was the same.
Both of them wished to reach the Divine through weapons made by humans' hands.
But one of them wished to do so through extreme technology that replaced the need of humans themselves.
What Makarov wished to create was not armor that used humans as nothing more than a battery to function.
He wished to create a true divine weapon that could affect nature and work alongside the wielder.
While the two had their own stubbornness, Makarov did not think that she was wrong. He simply believed that a society that simply relied on technology was bound to be destroyed by technology.
This was something that had been proven by how many dark eras existed after a few low-class apocalypses.
"Sigh~ Though I cannot make armors like her, I can certainly make one that can adapt to any shape. Though it won't be high quality."
"Oh! This is alright! I know this is an unreasonable request. So I will be happy with what I get."
Natasha nodded, not knowing that when it came to the best blacksmith in the world, what he considered as low quality — was enshrined as a masterpiece by some organization.
After this Makarov took some initial measurements and asked some questions before leaving.
ραndαsnοvεl.cοm "Makarov, don't you need to rest."
Makarov shook his head at Cecilia's head, "You don't understand. For me, forging a new weapon is a form of rest. Also, I feel like I got some new inspiration for Adam's weapon."
Laughing out loud, he walked away after chugging a can of beer.
Looking at his departing back, Cecilia had a worried expression for a few seconds, but soon her face went back to normal.
"Heh. Seems like you are very lucky."
Natasha didn't understand much but she was quite happy. Even if the armor could only be used once or twice, it could still give her some help.
Werewolves generally avoided using armor because of their shapeshifting abilities. Transforming in armor would only make the transformation painful.
"Well. I am going to take the two young ones with me. You three should amuse yourself."
Cecilia pulled a helpless Fedora and a silent Makoto with her.
'Help me~~~'
Fedora begged with her eyes, but Natasha cleared her throat and looked away.
'Sorry sister. This is your fate.'
Now alone, Viktor smiled at Adam and Natasha.
"This reminds me of the first time we met each other."
He gave a good-natured laugh.
" — And this is why. I am not going to follow you."
He gave a thumb up and immediately fled, "I feel like walking with you guys will always lead to dangerous situations. Haha."
His words were said in jest but the sad thing was that neither Adam nor Natasha could actually refute his words.
"I am going to take a shower and leave for a date. I wish you guys a good one as well."
Viktor was joking about the fact that they were trouble magnets. But he was serious about not being the third wheel this time.
It was better to spend time with his girlfriend while he could then come down and help his grandfather.
Since his grandfather was starting a new project, he would thankfully not work much more today and will be focused on making plans for the armor.
"Well. Goodbyes and try to stay out of trouble!"
Now alone, Adam smiled at Natasha, "Well. I guess it's just us now. What do we do?"
"You think we should go out?"
"We can't be that unlucky every time, right?"
The two laughed.
This was going to be interesting.
