Chapter 4239 Preparations
Davis returned with the others to the hall. He sat on the sofa and had his arms crossed. He went silent after speaking with Mingzhi and appeared to be in contemplation.
Isabella and the others looked at him, wondering what was going on in his mind.
They also had a lot going on in their minds. After all, most of them had ended their seclusion for one purpose. However, they didn't know if it would be green-lit this week.
Everything depended on his one word, and they waited for it patiently.
Davis opened his mouth after a few minutes, "Alright, since everyone who is willing gathered, I'll agree."
"Yay!~"
Fiora and the others cheered. They looked at each other with smiles on their faces, looking pretty excited to go on an adventure together with the sisters.
"You're not going, Fiora."
"Eh?"
Davis suddenly said, causing Fiora to be dumbfounded. Her expression fell before she asked.
"Is it because I have to take care of Arc?"
Fiora shot a look at Arc in the playing grounds with her soul sense. He was carrying a wooden spear and appeared solemn as he fought with Felix. Felix was Lea's son. However, Felix kept him suppressed rather easily.
Arc was five years old, but Felix was only four. Even then, Felix was able to overpower Arc.
Clearly, Arc's reaction time and strength weren't even comparable to Felix's. This wasn't exactly worrying since Arc lacked talent and any sort of special bloodline, but as his mother, Fiora felt sad for him. She didn't know how many times she had consoled him, but she continued to do so with love and care.
Evidently, she needed to be there for Arc.
However, that means she wouldn't be able to go out anywhere. She could use her avatar, but it was unknown if Arc would find that quite… abandoning in the future when he finds out, pushing him further into feeling inferior to his other siblings.
"Of course not." Davis looked amused, "Arc needs to go through hardship if he wants to come up in life. At four years old, if he missed his mother, then that would also be a spark that lights up the flames in his heart. However, he is just four, so there's no need to do these things. He still doesn't know himself as he's just a child. As for you… you just reached Level Seven Immortal Emperor Stage. Although it is enough, I want you."
"…!" Fiora's eyes widened.
"I need you here because we share the same annihilative wind attribute. Without you, I might be at an impasse, so I need your help."
"…"
Fiora turned speechless, but her cheeks reddened. For him to openly say that he needed her help for cultivation, she was intensely honored and, at the same time, felt special.
"With that, you can also stay and cultivate, and we can improve our cultivation manual together."
"I can also look after Arc without having to leave him."
"Exactly." Davis nodded.
It caused Fiora to reveal a blinding smile, "Then I'll stay and be with you when you need me."
"Thank you." Davis nodded.
He really did need her as he was finding it difficult to make the final step in creating the new Essence Gathering Cultivation Manual. Even then, his prowess in Essence Gathering Cultivation had increased again, making him once again feel incredulous over the potential of the Tempestuous Firestorm Obliteration Physique.
"…"
Their conversation made the others feel a bit complicated as they also badly wanted to be needed by him. But since they were going out on an adventure, they thought it was quite the conundrum. After all, they felt like they would also be having fun with the sisters while destroying many geniuses.
They couldn't wait.
This was why Davis also thanked Fiora. Even he wanted to destroy geniuses and quell their arrogance so they might become better people in the future. Most importantly, it was fun, so to deny that opportunity to Fiora, he felt a bit guilty, but since she accepted quickly, he was overjoyed.
He felt respected and needed here. This was his family.
Fiora also looked happier since she could take care of Arc now.
It was all the more required since the second class was temporarily evicted from the time chamber. It was time they experienced the outside world a bit. They decided it might last up to a year. But for the first class, which consisted of Eterna and the other elder siblings, they were no longer allowed into the time chamber unless they wanted to badly.
From now on, they would live their lives outside.
After some time, everyone started their preparations as they left.
Davis went to the playing grounds and saw the little children. He sat on the rooftop while concealing himself, choosing not to disturb them.
There were Noctis, Styx, Ragna, Arc, Xiesha, Tianyu, and Felix carrying wooden spears and stabbing each other. They weren't exactly training, but they weren't fully playing either. It was a mix of both, designed to increase their skills and knowledge while having fun at the same time.
He could only thank Shea and Mingzhi for coming up with a lot of ideas. The other mothers were rather too strict with their children, wanting them to be studying twenty-four-seven all the time. If it was left to Lea or Fiora, he felt like they would be spanking their kids daily as they were too strict.
His eyes were on little Xiesha, watching her long silver hair flail as she unleashed a flurry of stabbing motion that caught Ragna and Styx in a bind as they jumped and ran around, trying to dodge while defending.
On the other side, their elder brother Noctis was facing Tianyu.
Tianyu's eyes were sharp like his mother's. Despite being four years old, he systematically cornered Noctis, who was five years old. However, Noctis was also imposing. While still little, he stood tall like a man and received the spear thrusts with his own, looking completely calm.
There was a layer of faint death energy roaming over his hands. It could be seen that he was taking it easier on Tianyu, considering his age.
'Woah… Xiesha, being a half-spirit, has incredible dexterity and flexibility, already having incredible soul capacity since her soul's already at the level of Nascent Soul Stage without cultivation, while Noctis and his siblings are quite adept at using a hint of death energy without cultivation…'
Davis was impressed with Noctis, Styx, and Ragna, for they were not affected by death energy despite not having been trained in any cultivation manual yet. After all, he had heard so many times that death energy users would go crazy, but here they were, already capable of using it a bit by virtue of their fey bodies alone. They didn't seem affected by craze or evil one bit.
'They sure are Nadia's children…'
Davis chuckled and put his hand over to the other side. Nadia suddenly appeared before she snuggled with him. He kissed her cheek, causing her to giggle as she tried to push him away, her expression full of joy.
"How are my children?" She asked.
"They're fantastic. I know they will grow to be extremely powerful in the future. They have the Emperor-Tier bloodline, so it's a given. What's unexpected is that I didn't expect you to be a doting mother."
"Hehe~" Nadia giggled, the cold expression on her face long gone.
Ever since she was with the children, she couldn't stop smiling, and when they weren't there with her, she would visit them all day long, simply waiting before the time chambers for them to appear.
Davis could tell she literally loved them to death as they were practically inseparable. She didn't even come back to him once, making him speechless. A beast mother was indeed highly protective of their children, but it wasn't like they treated their children well, so he was proud of Nadia.
She never complained that her children were taking too long to grow. After all, a five-year-old Nether Springs Death Wolf would already be at the Immortal Beast Stage or even the Immortal King Beast Stage if it stuffed itself with a lot of food.
"Soon, you also need to leave them,"
"Mhm~" Nadia pursed her lips before she nodded, "They have grown up, so I'm ready."
Her aura rose ever so lightly without alerting the children, and Davis saw that she was at Level Nine Immortal Emperor Beast Stage, only a thin line away from breaking into the Empyrean Beast Stage.
Once she did, he had no doubt she would transform into a new death-attributed wolf!
