Chapter 3377: There Is
"Okay, then let's go to the Divine Snow Mountain Sect now," Rean quickly spoke. The sooner they get there, the faster it will be to train the little Parasol Tree. That also meant they would get Celis earlier as well.
After deciding that, Rean flew on Kentucky's back, and they got past the first few cities near the Flintstone Clan. Even if they had different appearances, it was better to avoid using those cities' teleport formations. You never know what could happen since the various powers should know about their achievements in the Mist Library after this long.
Around a week later, Kentucky came down in front of another city, this one called Rumkley. He changed back into his humanoid form, and the two paid the fee to get inside. The news around was all about the Valames City, which now reappeared.
Not only that but the information of the Mist Library, which had initially been concealed, was now being displayed as well. Quite a few experts sighed in disappointment. If they knew there was such a thing in the White Fog, they would have tried to get closer one way or another. After all, everyone heard about the centurions by now since the Mist Library was directly connected to them.
Rean and Kentucky ignored all of that, though. They went straight for the Formations Guild, where they could use the teleport formations. In front of it, however, there were quite a few holographic screens with Rean's picture. No, to be more specific, it was Fred Flintstone's picture and a reward for any information regarding him. There were also other wanted posts regarding Roan and the others.
"Hum... I don't see anything about Herbert and the Flintstone Clan," Rean mentioned for a moment."
"Herber seemed pretty confident in the position of his clan in this continent," Kentucky commented. "The reason there is nothing regarding him and his clan is basically because the powers of this continent already know where to find him."
"That makes sense," Rean nodded. "They are betting more on us because of the strength we displayed. They even mention here that we might have acquired something impressive in the Mist Library. The rewards are very high, too."
Rean couldn't help but sigh, bringing his Formations Guild badge out and destroying it a second later. "So sad... I had just taken the Formations Master test, and now I can't use the badge anymore as it is connected to Fred Flintstone. Oh well, I can simply take another test somewhere else. Besides, Zangeshu and I already acquired the information we wanted about the Divine Sense Circuitry Runes."
Rean and Kentucky then passed by the screens and joined the various experts entering the Formations Guild. In there, he inquired about a teleport formation to the next continent, and he was told the closest one was in Yragra City. Fortunately, that Formations Guild had a teleport formation to that city.
They could have paid for the teleport formation to be used straight away, but they didn't want to attract attention. They instead asked when the next group would be sent over and then paid the fee to join that group. Even better, the teleport happened a few hours later. With a flash of silver light, they disappeared.
From Yragra City, Rean paid for the long-distance teleport to Pokiyai Continent and joined another group that departed three days later. Kentucky waited in the Dimensional Realm this time, so Rean didn't need to pay for him as well since teleports between continents were a lot more expensive.
Rean used this method to teleport through the next twelve continents, always waiting for the group teleportations that were cheaper. Before long, it had already been over twenty-three days since Rean and Kentucky started their journey to the Divine Snow Mountain Sect.
Unfortunately, they couldn't go further. After they arrived at a continent called Qinsi, there were no more Long-Distance Teleport Formations.
"Hum? What do you mean there are no teleport formations?" Rean asked the Formations Master where he had just arrived. "Do I need to go to another continent?"
The Formations Master shook his head. "That would be meaningless... unless you were willing to take a roundabout, crossing over a hundred continents."
"Hundred?!" Rean and Kentucky were taken aback. "A hundred just to get to the other side? Why are there no more teleport formations forward?"
"Because we are in the Glacial Overflow Season," the guy explained.
Naturally, neither Rean nor Kentucky knew anything about it. "Can you tell us about it, sir?"
Turns out the Glacial Overflow Season was a phenomenon that occurred on a corridor separating the continents on Rean's side from the continents on the other side.
The corridor stretched over three hundred continents, and Qinsi was one of such continents bordering that corridor. It was located more on the south side of the corridor; thus, if Rean and Kentucky wanted to teleport to the other side, they would need to teleport to the continents further below first. After passing around a hundred continents going south, the corridor would be over, and they would finally be able to resume their journey to the west to reach the Divine Snow Mountain Sect.
As for the corridor itself, it had several hundreds of thousands of kilometers of width, although that wasn't the main problem.
The guy continued. "If you wish to go to the other side, you will need to cross it. We do have Long-Distance Teleport Formations to the next continent, but they are useless during the Glacial Overflow Season. The phenomenon messes with the Spatial Laws on the way quite badly, so it is pretty much suicide to use a teleport to pass over."
His words reminded Rean and Kentucky of the Continental Walls back in Lisan, although those walls were nothing more than Hyeoumu's doing. "How long does the season last?"
"You are quite luck," the guy smiled. "It only lasts three hundred years, and over two hundred and seventy have gone by. In just thirty years or so, it should calm down. Then there won't be another overflow for the next three hundred. You would do better to just rent a place and wait for it."
Thirty years indeed wasn't much in a cultivator's life, but the twins' group definitely had no intention of waiting. "No can do. Tell us, is there a way to go through the corridor without having to teleport all the way south?"
The guy scratched the back of his head while he sighed. "Well, there is, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it."
And as always, any Golden Tickets and Stones are welcome. ;)
