Chapter 3374 Not the Real Valames City
"Hum?" Rean jumped on top of one of those special plants, looking at the Mist Library in the distance. A thick White Mist, even more than what there was around earlier, began to come out of it, enveloping the entire gigantic construction. 'Roan, it seems like the sentience of the library is done with those who remained behind.'
Roan, who was also looking at it, joined Rean. 'Look around. The walls of white mist that are separating the Valames Valley from the outside world are disappearing. This place is reconnecting with the real world once again.'
[No,] Sister Orb correct Roan. [That Valames City we have seen... it was not the real deal. The Real Valames City is now reappearing. The Mist Library seemed to be only occupying its position.]
The twins were surprised to hear that. Slowly, they felt their capabilities to fly returning, so they immediately rose to the skies, looking down at the crumbling, old city.
The destroyed buildings seemly to be replaced by new ones. Not only that, but many beings began to wander around the city, although they all looked somewhat transparent. Their transparency was slowly disappearing as well, though. The outside world was also changing. The white mist that covered such a huge area also slowly vanished. That closed zone was returning to its original appearance.
Soon, the beings inside Valames City noticed that their own world seemed to be returning to normal. They had been trapped in the city for many, many months, not being able to go out. None of the experts there could break through the white mist barrier, and the city had more or less grown used to that life. Seeing that they were returning was also a big shock to everyone.
'Interesting. So the Pyramid didn't really kill anyone. They were just sent into some kind of alternative dimension, where they stayed until now,' Roan commented. 'The entire city and the valley itself were affected by the library.'
Finally, the change ended, all the white semi-transparent plants disappeared, replaced by their original versions. Valames City was back to what it was, and the white mist that covered all those thousands of kilometers dissipated as if it had never been there. Obviously, the Mist Library was gone too.
Right after, countless cultivators, demon beasts, and spirits flew out of the city. They didn't know if they would get trapped in there again, so no one wanted to stay in Valames anymore. Naturally, they had no idea what had truly happened.
There were other experts, the ones that had been watching the center of the white mist phenomenon. With the white mist gone and the Valames City and Valley back, they all came out to check. At the same time, the news of Valames City and its inhabitants reappearing spread over the continent's network.
"Rean!" Herbert quickly found the twins with his Divine Sense, which was now working normally again.

Rean put his finger in front of his mouth with a smile. "Don't forget my alias."
"Oh, right..." Herbert nodded. Then, he turned around and looked at Valames City again. "And here I thought everyone in there was killed. Just what kind of power is that of the Mist Library? It created a replica of the surrounding world, but that replica looked more like a version of what Valames City would be if tens of thousands of years had passed. We had been inside it all this time."
Roan shook his head. "No idea. I can only guess that that is the work of that treasure that the Mist Library's sentience mentioned. It said it could create a white mist prison or something like that, didn't it?"
Herbert nodded. "It did indeed. What a strange treasure, for sure."
"Did you manage to capture anyone?" Rean asked. Herbert had stayed close to the Library, expecting to catch those who remained inside to fight for the so-called treasure.
Herbert shook his head in response. "I've been watching it closely, but those guys who stayed inside didn't come out at all. Unless they were teleported somewhere else, they are still inside there. Whether the Library's test ended or not, I'm not sure."
"Or they are dead," Roan also added, and Herbert knew that was a very likely outcome.
Rean then noticed other Space-Time Realm Divine Sense and its source quickly approaching. "Seems like the cavalry is here, Herbert. You talk to them."
With the other Peak Stage Space-Time Realm experts dead, only Herbert remained. Of course, there was also Xesht, although they still don't know what happened to him.
"Herbert!" A man from the Qediya Royal Family called him. "You are finally out. What happened? How did things go inside? Where is Xesht?"
Herbert glanced at him, snorting. "Hmph! And why should I tell you anything? I'm busy, so I'll take my leave. If you still want something, come look for me in my Clan Territory. Everyone, let's go!"

The man's mouth twitched, but he didn't try to block Herbert. There were other experts around from the groups that tried to enter the Mist Library, not to mention the inhabitants of Valames City itself. He had plenty to ask from.
Herbert enveloped Rean, Roan, Kentucky, and Rifindio in his Divine Energy, opening a Spatial Gate and pulling them all inside. Herbert knew that the longer he stayed there, the more the other powers would crowd around him. Besides, they will soon find out that he fought those other Mist Bookmark Owners and killed quite a few of them with the twins' help. It was better to be back in his clan before that happened.
The Spatial Gate closed, and the guy from the Qediya Royal Family left to talk with the other experts. Yet, it was at that moment that his VS Device received a message. His expression showed some shock, and he changed his flight direction. Not much longer, he landed on a rather inconspicuous location and found an old man who seemed to be barely holding for his life. "Xesht! What happened to you?!"
---
*Zush!*
Time passed, and a Spatial Gate appeared somewhere far away from the Valames Valley. Herbert came out of it, followed by the twins' group. In front, there was a huge state with tens of thousands of residents, all of them wearing the same weird clothes as Herbert. No doubt, they arrived at the Flintstone Clan
