Chapter 3373 Later On
-Well then, here's what you have to do to get the master's treasure,- the sentience continued. It was as if the last part of their conversation didn't happen at all.
"Hey!" Of course, that made Rean and the others angry. "Send us out! We don't want that piece of shit treasure!"
-Shut up! Master's Treasure isn't shit at all! It's amazing! It allows you to create a Mist Domain that not even a Divinity Realm expert can escape! It's priceless! The ultimate life-saving treasure!-
The Sentience ended up speaking of the effects of the so-called treasure...
The other experts around took a deep breath. A Domain that not even Divinity Realm experts can escape is indeed a priceless life-saving treasure. In a place like the Divine Snow World, where the highest cultivation is Space-Time Realm, that is even more overpowered.
Too bad the twins' group truly wasn't interested. "See?! It's a piece of shit! Now, send us out!"
-You...- The sentience was almost exploding in anger. Even after speaking of the treasures' effects, Rean, Roan, and Kentucky still didn't show the least bit of intention to fight for it. Well, they could admit it wasn't that bad of a treasure. It even reminded them of the Werdlem Hexahedron, which had similar trapping capabilities. However, the Hexahedron was even more powerful, being able to trap Celestial Realm experts as well. Thus, their lack of interest.
Rean faintly smiled, speaking. "I have no interest in this trapping shit, but I am interested in the source of Starlight Energy of this Mist Library. If you can give us that instead, then we don't mind taking part in whatever test you have for us."
The sentience of the Mist Library took that request as a personal offense, finally giving up convincing the twins' group. -You know what? Get the fuck out! If you can't understand how impressive the Mist Domain Treasure is, then you simply aren't worth of it.-
The Mist Library's Sentience waved his hand, and Spatial Power gathered around Rean's group. "Wait!" Herbert was shocked when he saw that. Unfortunately, it was already too late.
*Vup!*
Then, with a flash of silver light, they all disappeared.
Their visions blurred for a moment. When it finally stabilized, they found themselves outside the Mist Library, staring at the Castle form of the Library in the distance. There were also a few cultivators and other races' experts there, who thought the twins' group had been sent out just like they were.
"Noooooo!!!*
Yet, Herbert shouted in dismay. "I didn't want to come out! I wanted to try to acquire the treasure..."
Rean scratched the back of his head. "Errr... sorry. I forgot the sentience most likely thought us all to have the same intentions. Still, did you really want to stay there and risk it?"
Herbert looked back at Rean, the sadness on his face clear to see. "If I wanted it? It can trap any Divinity Realm expert! I'm not afraid of dying here in the Divine Snow World, but what about the rest of the Divine Realm? I'm at the Peak of the Space-Time Realm, you know? Once I break through, I will be forced out. That treasure would be my life-saving card. Now... it is gone..."
Roan didn't seem to care. "What is done is done. Besides, you didn't know if you would die or not. You saw the screens, didn't you? Even Samalia was easily killed. Perhaps being sent out with us isn't the worst outcome in the world."
Herbert's eyes were tearful, but he could only sigh in the end. "Perhaps you are right. I'll wait in here, though. Maybe some of those guys back inside will get the treasure, and then I can take it from them."
"Suit yourself," the twins said before preparing to leave. They flew away on Kentucky's back, leaving Herbert behind. Of course, they agreed to meet later to get the Starlight Crystals that Herbert's people outside had gathered, so there was no need for goodbyes right away.
"What about the source of Starlight Energy?" Rifindio couldn't help but ask after Herbert wasn't close anymore. He didn't have much use to it, but he knew how important it would be for the twins.
Yet, Roan shook his head, glancing back at the Mist Library one last time. "You saw how the Library can even kill those in the Peak Stage of the Space-Time Realm with ease, didn't you? We already got more than what we came here for, so there is no need to risk trying to get that. Chances were we would fail and possibly die since the library couldn't function without it. There was no way that sentience would let us get anywhere near it. We can find some other sources in the future. Instead, let's try to get as many Starlight Crystals as we can before we are eventually sent out. This place is loaded with them."
Rean smiled. "Besides, this is not the last time we will be here. Now that we got to this place once, we can return later."
"We can?" Rifindio was confused. "How?"
"Abyssal Path," Rean explained. "It is not something that you can erase. You need an Abyssal Beast for that, and they seem to have gone extinct. Even if the Mist Library closes itself, the Abyssal Path still exists. It just becomes impossible to detect by others. Fortunately, we have the system. As long as it is still around, even if it is hidden, the system can identify the Abyssal Path. Not to mention that passing through it is not a problem with the Abyssal Beast's innate ability that the system acquired."
"I see..." Rifindio understood. "Then it will be better to return when we are stronger, is that it?"
"That's basically it," Rean, Roan, and Kentucky nodded. "Alright, everyone spread. Try to find as many Starlight Crystals as possible. Perhaps we can get enough to cultivate more than just one realm."
"Understood!" Everyone agreed. Finally, they ran around, gathering the crystals they could find. Since they had their connection, there was no need to worry about getting lost from each other. Only Rifindio had to go with Kentucky for that same reason since he wasn't connected to the twins and the system.
Hours passed, and suddenly...
*Rumble!*
The Mist Library Domain began to tremble once again.
