Chapter 3346: Found It
The Tablet Xesht was using was actually different from the one Rean and Roan found in Emaniora's secret base. It had a blue color, and looked somehow artificial. It had been altered somehow, or perhaps it wasn't even the real deal.
Xesht poured some of his Divine Sense into the tablet, throwing it into that location where the cultivator died a while earlier. The tablet reached that point, and instead of being pulverized as well, it shined with a yellow light, very similar to the light enveloping the twins by the system.
In the next second, a spatial tunnel opened, showing something similar to a sea of stars in its surroundings. It was also an Abyssal Path, all connecting to the same place.
"Is it safe?" Someone couldn't help but ask. No one wanted to be destroyed by that weird power.
Xesht threw another piece of Divine Metal, and it disappeared inside the Spatial Tunnel in a moment. However, it didn't get destroyed like it happened previously. "It is safe," Xesht spoke, flying into the Spatial Tunnel without saying anything. Whoever wanted to follow him would have to take a risk by themselves.
He wasn't the only one. As soon as he entered the tunnel, the twins' acquaintance, Herbert, also shot inside. He was quite surprised to see that tablet in Xesht's hands before. However, when he thought about how Qediya also had a deep relation to the five centurions, he accepted that the Qediya Royal Family might also have some privileged information regarding the Mist Library.
One might be wondering why Xesht and Herbert weren't killed after entering the tunnel, and the answer to that question was Xesht's tablet. It had a special power capable of stabilizing that Abyssal Path temporarily, different from the ones the twins found. However, it wouldn't stay open for long from the looks of it.
Of course, the path the twins took had its advantage, and that was the amount of Starlight Crystals. The secret base was loaded with them, and the twins' group took a lot for themselves. This path found by the other cultivators wasn't even a real path. Instead, it was more of a disorder caused by the real Abyssal Path, and Xesht's tablet just took advantage of this disorder to force a safe opening. Thus, this place didn't have a lot of Starlight Energy Crystals like the secret base.
The other cultivators, demon beasts, and spirits in the surroundings didn't dwell for much longer. They might not know much about the Mist Library, but they were also here for it. Without thinking twice, they also began to enter the tunnel, flooding it instantly. No one wanted to be left behind.
Back on the twins' group side, Rean, Roan, Rifindio, and Kentucky had been flying forward. At first, it didn't seem like there was a real 'path' to follow. Everywhere around them looked like the sea of stars, as if they could move in any direction.
Unfortunately, that was not the case. They could only move in a single direction or go back from where they came. When they tried to leave that route, the light of the system started to diminish, showing that they were falling off the Abyssal Path. Since there didn't seem to be an exit in sight, leaving the Abyssal Path in that manner gave them a deep sense of danger, so they didn't risk it.
Their journey didn't last much longer, though. An exit similar to the one they used to get into the Abyssal Path appeared in the distance. As they approached, the sight of an old pyramid started to enter their eyes, and it got bigger the closer they got to the exit.
*Zush, zush, zush...*
Finally, they passed through the Abyssal Path exit, coming out in the middle of a jungle, with the old pyramid rising to the skies in the distance. As for the sky itself, that's what caught most of the twins' group attention.
"So many stars..." Rean commented, finding it impossible to count all of them. There were so many, and they were so close to each other that it felt more like they were in the light of the day. Yet, that was just the combined light of countless stars instead of the light of a single sun, like you normally have on a planet.
Roan took a deep breath, opening all his meridians and letting that Starlight enter his body. "Incredibly pure. The Starlight here is not only hugely abundant, it is completely clean to the point it doesn't lose to our own personal stars. Anyone who cultivates with Starlight Energy would find this place to be a paradise."
Rean and Kentucky nodded, also absorbing the Starlight Energy. When Kentucky looked back at the exit that they used to come here, he noticed that Starlight Energy condensed, and a white fog was formed, escaping through that exit. "So that's how the White Fog took form, uh?"
Rean then approached a plant by his side. They were in the middle of a jungle, but the plant life in this place was truly different. All plants, trees, etc, had a white semi-transparent appearance, and the Starlight Energy seemed to pass through them seamlessly.
Rean plucked a small leave from that plant, closing his eyes and feeling it. "Even the plants here are rich in Starlight Energy. It's just that they made Starlight Energy transform to attend to their own needs, so it is not useful for us, even though they have a lot of it. It's their own kind of photosynthesis."
Roan walked around, carefully collecting some of the plants and sending them into the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm. The puppets that remained in there received them all, planting them with just as much care. "Let's hope they can survive with the Spiritual Liquid of the pond. If so, I want to see what kind of things I can make with them latter."
Rifindio didn't have much interest in Starlight Energy or the plants, so he tried to take flight so he could see things better from above. Unfortunately, his foot didn't move a single centimeter away from the ground. "Hum? We can't fly?"
Roan also tried it out, but he couldn't move away from the ground. "Sister Orb, is it a Formation?"
[It is not. It is better to say that the laws of this space simply don't allow flight. It is not dangerous, though.]
Jumping on a tall tree, Rean reached a vantage point, looking at the old pyramid in the distance. Then, he finally noticed. "Well... I think I found Valames City."
