Death... and me

Chapter 3332: Delicate Balance

Chapter 3332: Delicate Balance

A few minutes later, Roan got up from the table and walked to the door on the side. He and the other customers couldn't use the door they came from to leave. That was a rule so those who entered this place wouldn't bump into each other on the way out.

Finally, Roan appeared back in the city, and walked away as if nothing happened. He decided to go fetch the items he mentioned to Rean earlier. Yet, when Roan turned a corner not far away, Roan glanced to the side, and there was Rean, lying against a wall with his arms crossed. He seemed to be waiting for a while already. Zangeshu was also there, although Zangeshu seemed to be puzzled about the reason for this encounter.

"You got it?" Rean asked.

Roan slightly shook his head and continued to walk. "They seem to be clueless in the Divine Snow World."

Rean sighed and nodded, turning around and walking away. "Let's go, Zangeshu. We still haven't visited the entertainment district."

Zangeshu wanted to die already. Rean dragged him everywhere to have fun, but he didn't feel the least bit entertained. Even in that regard, he was very similar to Roan. Rean knew that, and as revenge for the beating, he ignored that fact and pulled the guy around anyway.

Still, Zangeshu couldn't help but ask. "What were you two talking about earlier?"

"The Great Void Shifter," Rean commented. They intended to leave this Universe at some point, so Roan went to the black information market to see if he could get information regarding it. In the end, because of the type of place the Divine Snow World is, even such a place had no information about it.

The day passed in a calm fashion, and near its end, Rean arrived at a big building with Zangeshu. That was the city's trading center. The place seemed quite crowded, and quite a few experts of a similar level to Rean could be seen going in and out. Rean entered it with Zangeshu, going for the counter. "Hi, are there any trades going on?"

The worker smiled at him and confirmed. "Yes, there are always trades happening. Please, select one of the booths and close the door behind. No one will know it is you who is trading or buying whatever you intend to. The fee is a hundred Rank Two Divine Stones."

Rean quickly paid and went to the booth with Zangeshu. It was quite small, having just a table with a little teleport formation on top of it. On the wall on the side, there was a terminal with a few simple options. You could put something you have for sale, you could put up a request, or you could buy something. Trades were also accepted. The best part was the hiding of one's identity. No one knows who is selling or buying. You will simply receive your things, and that's it.

Rean checked with Sister Orb, and after confirming it was really safe, Rean waved his hand. *Zush, zush, zush, zush, zush, zush...*

Tens of weapons, armor, and other accessories appeared one after another, all of them of very high quality. The twins' group received some Divine Stones from Gian, but Rean and Roan needed much, much more than just that. Besides, those stones were for Ridia, and Rean didn't intend to use them.

On the terminal, Rean started to list his equipment, their abilities, and their prices. One of the things he did while he walked around the city with Zangeshu was visit several treasure and blacksmith workshops. He asked for the prices of pretty much everything, building himself a mental database. Now, he knew how much his own creations were worth and decided to ask slightly less so they could sell fast.

"And... send!" Rean pressed the screen, and all the information was sent to all the tens of thousands of booths in that trading center. That wasn't all. The list Rean sent over was also available on the trading center's website, and everyone in the city could check it at any time.

It didn't take long for the first request to arrive. Rean put one of his weapons in the teleport formation, a spear, and pressed the button on the screen, making it disappear. He didn't receive his payment straight away. The other side would first test the equipment, and there was no risk of it being stolen, as anyone trying such a thing would simply be trying to suicide.

A minute later, a spatial ring appeared on the teleport formation as well. The listing of that weapon then disappeared automatically from the screen, as the payment was already checked by the system that teleported the Spatial Ring over.

Rean transferred the stones into the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm and sent the Spatial Ring back since it was the property of the trading center.

*Tun!*

Another request arrived, and Rean sent another weapon. Before he could even receive the payment from that weapon...

*Tun!*

Another request, this time asking for a pair of bracelets that had the property of easing the flow of Fire Element.

*Tun!*

Another request and another piece of equipment gone, now a vembrace.

*Tun, tun, tun, tun...*

Rean's equipment quickly became a hot topic. They weren't just cheaper than what you could find in the city, they were also much better!

"Hum... perhaps I should have asked a little bit more..." Rean spoke to Zangeshu.

Zangeshu was quite surprised already. He knew nothing about blacksmithing. However, judging from the reception Rean's equipment received, they truly seemed to be above what you could find. "Does learning blacksmith help you with formations?"

Rean nodded. "Evidently. Did you forget that they can have inscriptions? Where do you think I learned inscription? From formations, obviously. I always forge and craft my equipment with the runes I intend to put on them in mind. In the end, it improves both my abilities as a Blacksmith and as a Formations Master. Don't look down on this sub-job. They have a very delicate balance."

Zangeshu immediately made his decision. "Teach me forging as well."
