A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1434 1434: Forgetting That Magic Is Real

Archer’s excitement grew as the third jet climbed higher, its pilot desperate to outmaneuver him. His grin widened, his blood thrumming with the thrill of the chase. He beat his wings, surging upward, ready to meet the final challenge head-on.

While chasing, the third began shooting him, the bullets slammed into his body only to shatter on his scales like they were made of glass. Though the force did send him flying back.

‘It feels like bee stings but just shockwaves instead,’ he thought, chuckling.

He gritted his teeth in annoyance before continuing the chase and shoulder-checking the jet, tearing through it like a bull in a glass shop. The pilot tried to eject, but was grabbed and thrown the man toward the ground like a missile.

Moments later, more bullets slammed into his back, prompting him to take a deep breath and let out an earth shattering, followed by a stream of violet fire that hit two more planes that crashed into the nearby mountain.

In an instant, he used Blink, and he teleported in a flash of light. He reappeared directly above the third jet, hovering with predatory grace. His wings flared, casting a shadow over the cockpit.

He noticed the pilot’s head jerked upward in horror as the man met a feral grin, his gaze menacing. Without hesitation, he plunged his claws downward, rending the cockpit’s canopy and shredding the controls in a single, devastating strike.

The jet erupted in a blinding fireball, the explosion’s roar echoing across the valley as he rode the shockwave, his white hair whipping wildly. He dropped through the air, landing atop the fourth jet.

While doing this, he muttered. ”Time to end this and get Elizabeth back to the Domain.”

Archer felt the aircraft shudder, its pilot frantically trying to shake him. His claws sank into the fuselage, anchoring him as he tore through the jet’s spine, sparks and metal shrieking in protest.

Seconds later, the plane spiraled out of control, plummeting in a trail of smoke and flame, but he was already gone, Blinking to the fifth jet. The remaining two pilots, now desperate, banked hard to evade him.

He dispatched them ruthlessly, one fell to a precise Mana Blast that obliterated its engines, sending it crashing into the mountains below, the other met its end when he sliced through its fuel line, igniting a catastrophic explosion.

Following that, he noticed an army charging toward him, there were even more fighter jets that were flying straight toward him. A smile appeared before he opened several portals and summoned a horde of Venomwings rushed out.

The dragonfly monsters zipped through the air and slammed into the nearby planes. He observed them destroy the enemy aircraft. Seconds later, Chull and Nightmare Ant Guardians.

Archer watched as the Venomwings destroyed the jets that tried attacking him, leaving behind a field of burning wreckage. ”These humans don’t stand a chance against millions of monsters.”

After some time, he descended toward the valley, and the chaos below erupted into a full-scale assault. From his portal, a swarm of creatures poured forth, their guttural roars and chittering cries filling the air.

Nightmare Ants, their massive mandibles snapping with bone-crushing force, scuttled alongside hulking Chulls, their claws covered in blood. The ground trembled under their charge, a living tide of monstrous fury joining the fray.

Amid the creatures, hundreds of soldiers emerged, clad the dark armor and piloting tanks that rumbled forward on heavy treads. The war machines bristled with cannons and missile launchers, their barrels swiveling to track him.

Explosive rounds tore through the air, their deafening booms mingling alongside the screeches of the approaching jets, creating a symphony of destruction. Archer’s eyes narrowed, just as he prepared to dive into the heart of the onslaught.

From the last portal’s depths emerged the Chull, a behemoth of chitin and muscle, its armored hide gleaming like obsidian under the fading light. The creature’s massive limbs shook the earth, its enraged eyes glowing.

A bellow that drowned out the enemy’s war cries, Chull charged. The tank-like machines pivoted to face the new threat, unleashing a barrage of missiles and plasma blasts. But big lobsters were unstoppable.

Archer’s smile grew wide as the monsters smashed through the first line of vehicles, their claws rending metal like paper, sending twisted wreckage flying. Soldiers scattered, only to be swept aside by its bulk.

Nightmare Ants and Broodmaws swarmed in Chull’s wake, tearing into the remaining forces with relentless savagery, their combined assault reducing the army to chaos as the human army was overwhelmed.

Above, Archer sensed the distant hum of the approaching jets growing louder, their sleek forms now visible on the horizon. Moments later, he sensed Elizabeth’s presence pulsed stronger, urging him onward.

With the monstrous horde carving a path below, he surged toward the valley’s heart. The prison where Elizabeth was held lay just beyond the next ridge, and he would tear through every obstacle to reach her.

His claws flexed, and violet energy crackled around him as he prepared to meet the next wave of resistance head-on. Archer’s wings sliced through the air as he soared over the chaotic battlefield, the valley below a writhing mass of destruction.

Chull’s roars reverberated, punctuated by the screeching death throes of Nightmare Ants and Broodmaws as they tore through the remnants of the armored soldiers and their war machines.

Twisted metal and shattered bodies littered the ground, the air thick with the acrid stench of smoke and venom. Yet, his senses locked on the faint, pulsing signature of Elizabeth’s presence emanating from the roof.

Without wasting time, he shot forward while his army destroyed the human army, and by the time he reached the brunette, who was beaming at him with glowing green eyes as he landed on the roof.

He waved his hand and dismissed the Shadow Creatures as the older woman commented in a relieved voice. ”It’s good to see you, babe, I know you’d come rescue me.”

Just then, a group of helicopters appeared over the nearby mountain, prompting Archer to cast dozens of Mana Missiles that shot through the air before slamming into the flying machines.

Explosions ripped through the sky and lit the landscape up. That’s when Elizabeth spotted all the different monsters ripping apart soldiers and weaponry like it was nothing. Following that, he grabbed her by the waist and teleported to Micha back at Rosemary Beach.

When the couple appeared in the house, Archer ordered the monsters to grab all the dead and take them back to the Domain. Once the brunette realized where they were, she giggled in amusement.

Elizabeth’s eyes sparkled with a mix of wonder and amusement when remembering something. The expression on her mature face was adorable, and he loved it, causing him to go talk, but she continued.

”I keep forgetting that magic is real,” she confessed, her smile widening. ”The idea of a world woven with enchantments and wonders, it’s almost too much to believe. I’m so eager to see your kingdom, to walk its paths and discover what marvels await.”

Archer was just about to speak, but she added, her tone growing quieter. ”I can’t leave just yet. I need a little more time here to bid farewell to my family, to share one last moment with them before I step into this new chapter.”

Micha emerged unexpectedly, clad in a simple apron. Her blue eyes sparkled as she smiled warmly. ”Arch, Liz, come in and take a seat.”

Following that, the duo sat down as the bouncy brunette rushed off to get them some tea as thunder boomed overhead. Archer turned to the window and noticed the men in suits approaching the front door.

In an instant, he cast Blink, materializing silently behind the intruders, his razor-sharp claws gleaming and his tail poised to strike. The government agents, caught off guard, spun toward him, but he was a blur of precision.

With a single, fluid motion, he raked his claws across one agent’s chest, tearing through fabric and flesh, while his tail lashed out, piercing the woman’s torso with a sickening crunch that sent her flying back.

Chaos ensued as he dispatched the remaining agents, their cries drowned out by a Cosmic Shield. Blood spattered the ground as he carved through them, each move proof of his predatory prowess.

With the agents reduced to lifeless husks, he grabbed their bodies and hurled them into the Domain. Stepping through the threshold only to feel the hot air brush up against his face, his heart still pounding with the thrill of combat, he froze.

Micha and Elizabeth stood before him, their faces pale, eyes wide with a mixture of shock and horror, fixed on the blood-streaked figure he cut against the dim light. The green-eyed beauty shook her head.

”Why did you kill them, Arch?” she questioned, confused.

”These are Earth humans, when their bosses realize I butchered four of their best, they’ll stay away,” he answered, chuckling. ”This will give Elizabeth enough time to say her goodbyes and bug her family.”

When the older women heard this, the ex-president responded. ”What do you mean by bug?”
