Chapter 1314: Section 1315 Division

Rolando’s eyebrows were inversely furrowed as he glared venomously at Sanders, disbelief plain in his eyes.

“Did you do this?” Rolando asked coldly.

Rolando could feel that his other personality had seemingly fallen into a deep sleep, but… such a simple Dream Entering Technique should have been easy to escape from. Why then, despite his constant mental calls, could he not awaken it?

This level of Dream Entering Technique shouldn’t have this effect, should it?

Moreover, what surprised Rolando the most was that, although he had resisted entering the dream, his other personality hidden deep within the Spirit Sea had been affected instead?

This was truly bizarre!

“Didn’t you watch me do it with your own eyes?” Sanders looked down on Rolando and then turned to leave the cage, “I am somewhat impatient to see what your main personality will divulge in the dream.”

Rolando’s face darkened: “His thoughts and memories cannot be brought into the dream; even if you trap him inside a dream, it will only be a chaotic dream from which you will obtain nothing.”

“Chaotic dream or lucid dream, who knows?” Sanders paused in his steps and turned his head, “You seem to be losing your composure.”

“It’s useless, useless!” Rolando shouted fiercely, his fist clenched so hard his veins bulged. Yet, under the restraints of magic power, he remained immobile, only able to watch Sanders with malicious eyes as he walked to the edge of the Geometric Lock, closed his eyes… and entered the dream.

Meanwhile, Angel, at the same moment, received a profound mental epiphany through the “Gate of Dreams” power: “Alert, a foreign object has entered the Wilderness of Dreams!”

Angel immediately realized that Sanders must have sent Rolando into the Wilderness of Dreams.

With the authority of his power, Angel’s gaze seemed to traverse through layers upon layers of worlds, travelling beyond the limitless expanse of time and space, to the other end of the dream realm.

Pushing through the thick Mist, he saw the one who entered the dream.

Almost exactly as Sanders had described, the newcomer wore a gray-black cloak, the hood neatly drooping over the shoulders, revealing his face; it was unremarkable, so ordinary that he would blend immediately into a crowd. The only striking feature was his eyes — shrewd and cunning.

However, his eyes now held a trace of confusion, clearly due to the change in environment and his inability to adapt just yet.

Without a doubt, this person must be Rolando, who had deviously outplayed Eulica from the shadows.

“Alert, a foreign object has entered the Wilderness of Dreams!” The warning hovered persistently at the edge of his hearing.

Without hesitation, Angel chose to consent, ready to cast Rolando into the vast, untamed wilderness far away.

Just as Angel had confirmed the drop-off location, the Gate of Dreams received another prompt: “Alert, a foreign object has entered the Wilderness of Dreams!”

As Angel was pondering this, he saw another figure emerge from Rolando’s shadow.

This person’s appearance, height, and attire were identical to Rolando’s; the only difference was the unmistakable aura.

His face was also ordinary, but the cunning malice in his gaze, the barely concealable madness, and the cold, sharp edge lurking in the shadows… all spoke clearly of his exceptional nature.

The shadow enveloped him entirely, matching his sinister and wicked temperament, making him seem like a cruel devil blooming from the flower of evil.

This Rolando was like a completely different person from the one before.

Placed side by side, they were like white and black, light and darkness.

From the difference in their auras, Angel could almost immediately confirm that these two Rolandos embodied his dual personalities. The first, shrewd and cunning, still within the bounds of humanity; the second, like wearing an impenetrable armor, fostered a chilling sinfulness in the shadows cast behind the light, incomprehensible to ordinary people.

Through the dream’s mist, Angel quietly watched the two Rolandos.

Each time the mental prompt resurfaced, he chose to consent.

The first Rolando successfully crossed the shackles of the Gate of Dreams, descending into the Wilderness of Dreams.

As for the second Rolando, just as he was about to step into the Wilderness of Dreams, a strange force suddenly appeared out of nowhere, kicking him off the Dream Bridge.

As the second Rolando vanished, Angel seemed to see a grand door emitting a daunting divine authority in the unknown, slamming shut with a “bang—” without warning!

A notification followed: “A strange energy has intruded; the Gate of Dreams has automatically closed.”

As Angel witnessed this, he sighed softly, indeed as Sanders had predicted, this second personality must have been tainted by Mysterious Power to be rejected by the Gate of Dreams.

Fortunately, his first personality had not been touched by the Mysterious Power and had successfully entered the Wilderness of Dreams.

Angel turned his attention to the first personality of Rolando.

At this moment, he stood in the vast, boundless wilderness, looking around in confusion, completely oblivious to his location…

Rolando was at a loss; he had clearly been in the edge room created by his darkened personality just a moment ago, so how did he end up here the next second? He tried to contact his darkened personality, but strangely, he received no response…

Unable to contact the blackened personality?!

Rolando had tried countless times to eradicate the blackened personality, but never succeeded. The blackened personality was like the entangled branches of an old tree, deeply rooted in his Spirit Sea and unshakable.

But now, when Rolando truly couldn’t feel the blackened personality, not only did he not feel elated, but he also began to panic somewhat.

Perhaps it was the hostage effect, or maybe it was due to his frequent interactions with the blackened personality, that Rolando, amidst his self-disdain, also harbored a secret envy for the blackened personality.

The blackened personality had acted out a perfect version of himself, a version of Rolando’s primary personality that he never thought possible. This feeling, accumulated over time, made Rolando reluctant to discard such a personality.

Now that the blackened personality was gone, instead, a gaping hole appeared in Rolando’s heart.

He was in a daze for a long time, as if he had thought of something, and pinched his thigh: “There’s a pain sensation, but why do I feel like I am dreaming? If this is a dream, I should be able to wake up…”

Rolando mumbled to himself for a long time, trying to “wake up” from the dream, but no matter what he did, he couldn’t leave the dream.

At this moment, not far from Rolando, Angel and Sanders were watching Rolando’s actions from within the Mist.

“It seems that this experiment was very successful.” Angel hadn’t expected that they could really, using the Wilderness of Dreams, separate the two personalities.

Sanders nodded: “This should be the first personality hidden deep within his Spirit Sea, or in other words, the primary personality.”

Without the presence of other personalities, and confirming that the second personality was created by a Mysterious Object, it was clear that this first personality had to be the primary one.

“Is he unable to leave the Wilderness of Dreams because of the Gatekeeper’s authority?” Sanders asked.

Angel nodded: “The Gatekeeper can control and restrict the permission of foreign entities to enter and leave the Wilderness of Dreams.”

“However, this restriction also has its limits. According to Frode’s tests, if the trapped consciousness in the Wilderness of Dreams is not a resident of the Dream Realm but a living person, a perfect fetter cannot be achieved. Excessive stimulation from the outside world or a wizard versed in Dream Technique could call the living consciousness out of the Wilderness of Dreams.”

“In the outside world, Rolando is trapped in the Geometric Lock, so for now, there’s no need to worry about this primary personality escaping.” Sanders paused for a moment: “Now, it’s time to go and meet him.”

Sanders stepped forward, while Angel remained hidden in the Mist, not ready to reveal his identity.

At this time, Rolando was still confused about where exactly he was. Was it a dream, or was it reality?

As he pondered in complete confusion, he saw a nightmarish figure, cutting through the Mist and slowly striding towards him.

Rolando’s eyes instantly bulged with shock: “Illusion, Illu… Lord Illusion Demon.”

Even though Rolando was now the primary personality, years of influence from the blackened personality had gradually made his actions akin to those of the blackened personality.

After a period of confusion and panic, he gradually calmed down.

Even though he didn’t know why the famous War God of the Southern Domain, Sanders, would be in cahoots with Suise, he understood why Sanders had come to find him.

In his evasion and placation when dealing with Sanders, he also observed this world more closely.

During this process, he discovered something: this place indeed had certain characteristics of a dream, but he wasn’t sure if it was a dream realm.

However, one thing he was certain of, it seemed like Sanders’ abilities had disappeared here?

Or rather, not just Sanders, but also his own abilities.

In reality, Rolando could clearly feel the terrifying oppression from Sanders, but here, apart from feeling an even denser scent of blood from Sanders, he didn’t feel anything else.

Since he didn’t feel the suppression of strength, then what was there to fear from facing Sanders?

Rolando’s thoughts turned, and his eyes were also spinning. He was on the right track with his thinking, but ultimately, he wasn’t the perfect blackened personality; his considerations were not comprehensive.

In this domain, even if Sanders couldn’t use his powers from the real world, that didn’t mean he had no way of making Rolando speak.

Sanders said nothing but took a Magic Rune Scroll from his person.

The Magic Rune Scroll glimmered with a faint light, and upon seeing this, Rolando paused…

“This is… Illusion Hypnosis?” Rolando’s eyes bulged.

Rolando’s mind was thrown into chaos, and he hadn’t figured out: wasn’t this place supposed to have the characteristics of a dream? Why would there be a Magic Rune Scroll?!

It wasn’t until Rolando entered a dazed state that Angel emerged from the Mist, muttering, “Didn’t you get a lot of tools from Frode? You could have given him a good beating first, then used hypnosis.”

“That would only be a waste of time.” Sanders said flatly, “I’m ready to start questioning.”
