THE RISE OF THE PERVERT PRIMORDIAL

Chapter 670 - 670: Is chaos better than order? (part 25)

To understand what happened earlier we must look things from Aster’s point of view, since the enemies couldn’t react fast enough to see the incredible example of agility and maneuverability that Lina displayed a second ago.

She not only never stopped slashing the barrier created by that girl from the Fireheart, but despite the shield users successfully increasing the range of their defense by adding intent to their shields, at the last second before the barrier shattered, the sister in the middle didn’t stop her charge.

Instead of that, she followed through with her attack which was naturally blocked by the intent and fire cladded shield, and then without a fraction of a second of delay found an opening in the defensive wall created by those two and used the momentum to propel herself upwards, successfully bypassing the shield users to then appear in front of the girl from the Fireheart.

What followed is what even those three could see, which was Lina slashing that girl from the Fireheart with her sword, to then flash away.

‘Her slashes are certainly not heavy, however they are quite sharp and she makes up for the lack in power with quantity instead, I wonder in which direction will she change if she experiences a similar phenomenon to that of Nina’, thought Aster.

The flames enveloping Lina’s body were the normal orange-colored ones created with spirit energy, the interesting part is that the orange part of the flames that Nina used was created using her body as the medium, it was the blue part the one that burned using spirit energy.

Meaning that once they went through whatever was happening to Nina, which Aster suspected to be a lineage awakening, the source of the orange part of the flames was changed to the body, while the other part, blue flames for Nina, was linked to spirit energy.

Back at the fight, the girl from the Fireheart family who had finished retorting due to the pain of being slashed, venomously glared at Lina, who had left a cut wound on her face.

“You two protect me, you go and cut her up if you want to live!”, she said to the shield users as well as the captain, to then close her eyes and place her hands together as if to pray, to then be engulfed in orange-red flames, it’s obvious that she was preparing something to deal with Lina.

As angered as those three felt to be bossed around, they obeyed, the two shield users immediately covered the girl from the Fireheart with their shields.

“Blazing Shield!”, not wanting to take any risk, they directly went ahead and used their best defense spirit technique, which made basically all the flames they were enveloped in to transfer to their spirit weapons.

The result were two large shields which had their effective range enhanced by peak first level intent, that was then cladded in blue flames further increasing their defensive range, this was in order to fill the gaps between them, to prevent Lina from attacking the girl from the Fireheart family.

There wouldn’t have been a need for it, if the reinforces that were supposed to come, had arrived, since two of them were shield users so they could have covered the other two sides, unfortunately Aster killed them so they had to go all out way too soon.

While those two focused on defending the girl from the Fireheart, the captain didn’t sit still, he actually charged at Lina whose image disappeared from plain sight the next second.

“You are really fast, but so what, unlike back then I now have the body of a peak Carnal Disaster realm, your sword is not strong enough to suppress me anymore!”, shouted the captain as he exploded in dark blue flames that then gathered around his sword.

“Blazing Path!”, with both the overall boosting of Blaze Commandment and the increase in speed brought by his movement spirit technique in other words Blazing Path, the senses of the captain as well as his reaction time heightened enough for him to see an orange “blur” moving all over the area.

‘I see you now bitch!’, inwardly swore the captain as he swung his sword to the right with all his might.

“Clang!”, the sound of metals colliding as well as sparks flying all over the place was the result of the previous, the captain managed to block Lina’s sword for the first time and as expected the sister in the middle was repelled since her physical strength was not high enough to completely nullify the full strength of a peak Carnal Disaster realm enemy.

In fact, in her body path cultivation was strangely at the exact same realm as Nina’s one, in other words she was an early-stage Stellar Constellation in the body path, the difference is that she is an early-stage Star Tribulation in the energy one.

However, and as weird as it might sound, Aster judged Nina to be physically stronger than Lina, since the previous is a heavy sword user not to mention she is a dual wielder meaning that she needs a high physical strength to use both her gladius and that short sword.

Having her attack blocked didn’t interrupt Lina’s rhythm though, she flashed away and appeared in front of the captain to then slash at his shoulder, only for the captain to inject more spirit energy into his legs, to then extend the blade of his sword to block the incoming attack.

But then a fraction of a second before their swords clashed, Lina smirked making the captain had a bad premonition, which became reality as Lina actually let go of the handle of her sword!

Naturally the sister in the middle wasn’t giving up the fight, with a quick maneuver she grabbed her sword with her left hand instead, and that gave her sword a new trajectory, one that was free of obstacles.

“Gah!”, the result was a thin cut appearing on the left side of the captain, while Lina graciously made a slight turn to avoid the slash made by the enemy to force her to retreat.

“Damn it!”, the captain felt the burning pain coming from his abdomen and he cursed, he still remembered being crushed by Lina the very same day they were exiled from their family, back then they were only at the early stages of the Mortal realm division but Lina was already taller than basically anyone else from the same group, so she easily defeated them every time.

The fact that she was “lacking” in terms of strength only became noticeable after she grew from a little girl to a young lady by turning, since Nina surpassed her, despite she being younger, shorter and having a lower realm than Lina.

And it was then when she changed her focus to speed with the help and advice of the one who taught them swordsmanship, in other words Layla, and realized she had an insane talent for the fast sword fighting style, to the point that unlike other light sword users she didn’t need to resort to surprise attacks with very short interaction with the enemies as well as retreating to attack again.

Her speed and agility were high enough for her to face her opponents head on even if they were physically stronger than her, if her attack’s path was obstructed then she simply made herself a new one, her mind and body were agile enough for that, as the captain just realized a moment ago when she casually changed the hand with which she wielded her sword.

‘Damn, the wound on my side felt exactly the same as when she slashed my back, is she innately ambidextrous!’, inwardly cursed the captain.

As strange as it might sound, dual wielding weapon users who are already a rare group, practically all weren’t born with the ability to use both their right and left arms with the same proficiency, they train their non-dominant arm harder in order to catch up with the dominant one.

However, that often ends up causing the awkward situation of the non-dominant becoming the newly dominant, anyway the point is that as small as it might be, there is almost always a difference in the proficiency that a dual wielder has.

Take Mina for example, she had a lower proficiency with her left arm, with which she wielded her short sword, but she compensated it by using the short sword at a closer range, which reduced the difficulty when compared to wielding her gladius which was her main weapon.

But Lina was different, though the hand, trajectory and even the approach she took to slash him by using her left hand was completely different than the one she used with her right hand, the produced result felt and left the exact same type of wound.

Seeing the disdainful expression on Lina’s pretty face a second before she disappeared from plain sight, the captain gritted his teeth, his plan of luring her for close combat to then overwhelm her, flew out of the window after he managed to see how agile she was, letting her get close to him was only asking to be humiliated, even now he could only somewhat catch up with her speed by using Blazing Path.

“Don’t get cocky you bitch!”, so he decided to go for a surefire to succeed option instead, the good old attack in every direction, the moment he caught a glimpse of the orange blur in which Lina had turned due to her insane speed, coming at him to slash him, the captain raised his sword and a wave of blue flames expanded with him as its center.

“Fire Wave!”, unlike the ones that were sent after Nina, these guys despite having low statuses, had achieved the peak of the Earthly realms, and since they “contributed” to the family by giving the three sister’s former father, what they stole from their home, they were allowed to learn the techniques of the main families.

Though it was only the early parts of it, as they needed more contributions to obtain what followed, they had the energy reserves to the techniques shown by the guys that were sent after Nerissa.

“Humph!”, faced with flames coming at her from every direction, as she was about to reach her target to slash his other side, Lina softly snorted.

One thing that the captain overlooked is that while he was using a movement technique, namely Blazing Path, the sister in the middle… wasn’t, at least until now.

“Shooting Star”, with a couple of words, Lina became an orange stream that travelled whole distance covered by the incoming fire wave in a fraction of a second, though she was visible this time, as she quite literally turned into a shooting star, she was way faster than earlier.

‘Not bad, she could make that pass as a teleportation technique under the eyes of even soul cultivators at the Sea of Knowledge realm’, thought Aster.

Lina basically blinked from her original position to her destination, the “shooting star” that was seen by others was just the trail of flames left behind by her, in other words she moved even faster than what it seemed to be the case.

The captain who was deceived by the previous and looked at the orange stream, suddenly felt all the hairs on his body stand on their ends, but he was a step too late to turn around and block.

“Booom!”, accompanied by a sonic boom, an intent cladded claymore slashed his back all the way from his right shoulder to the left corner of his lower back.

“Aghhh!”, the burning pain forced a scream out of the captain’s mouth, but this time Lina wasn’t satisfied with a single cut and thus slashed her sword once again, this time horizontally.

‘Damn it!’, the captain who managed to recompose, realized he couldn’t dodge in time, but then a stream of blue flames blocked the way of the sword.

“Blazing Charge!”, one of the shield users had rushed just in time to protect the captain, intercepting Lina’s sword.

“Clang!”, sparks flew as Lina’s claymore cut a though thin, rather deep line into both the intent and the shield from one side to side, that slash would have left a nasty wound on the captain if it had landed, which is why the shield user hurried to this side.

Though the technique he used had no close to zero offensive power, it gave the shield user a temporal but extreme boost in speed, they weren’t meant to move around so they focused on learning this instead of Blazing Path which was developed for offensive usage

“You really took your sweet time, damn it”, said captain as he retreated under the cover of the shield user, to where the girl from the Fireheart was.

“Shut up, if it wasn’t an emergency, I wouldn’t be using this on you”, said the girl as she flapped her fan at the captain, letting out an orange-red soft wave of flames that were then absorbed by the captain.

“Fire Heart”, since the name of the technique she used, was that of the family from which she came, its effect should be something impactful and that was indeed the case, since the moment the girl with the fan used it, her spirit energy, attribute and stamina basically hit rock bottom, making her face be drained of color.

Apparently, her attribute which was of course fire, was fully focused in support because in exchange the red hair of the captain, gained a more intense and much brighter tone, slightly approximating that of Iris.

That didn’t mean he became as strong as her of course, among the three families, the ones with the brightest and most intense red tone of hair are the Firehearts, hence why Iris who would have been their princess, if she wasn’t shunned by them, had that beautiful bright crimson hair, despite she being a “mixed blood”, so the captain simply seemed to have obtained the aspect of a Fireheart thanks to the technique used by that fan user.

“Booom!”, the flames enveloping the captain suddenly raised into the sky, nearly tripling their size, but it didn’t last long before they shrank to their original size, with the difference that they… had turned purple.

“I can’t believe you are arrogant enough to don’t even bother trying to attack me before Fire Heart’s effect was properly activated, or perhaps you knew it was going to be futile?”, asked the captain to which Lina wildly smiled as she said.

“I simply wanted to see one of the famous and “exclusive” techniques that those bastards from the Fireheart made sister Iris gave up when she took us in… so that I could crush it with the strength I gained to thanks to her”.

“Nonsense, it might be artificial and only the early stage, but I’m still at the second level of Blaze Commandment as of current, we “can’t” cross the line too much this time, but the Lord of the Twin Sword valley won’t be guarding you all the time, I’ll personally ask permission to the Lord to capture that little sister of y….”, the words of the captain stuck in his throat as a he felt a deathly glare coming from the back.

And contrary to what the captain expected it wasn’t Aster, who was instead looking with interest glowing on his eyes.

“Boooom!”, a loud explosion engulfed the captain’s vicinity, sending him flying a few dozens of meters from where he was standing.

When he could finally stop his body, his eyes contracted before he… screamed.

“Aghhhh!”, his back was a mess, there was no new cut marks, in fact the ones he had earlier had somewhat closed when he received the Fire Heart from the fan user girl, no, this time his back had lost a whole layer of skin and flesh here and there, not to mention it was irregularly charred.

‘What the hell was that!!!’, he inwardly screamed, a question that was answered a second later.

“Don’t get carried away, traitor scum… forget about targeting Nina, you won’t get to live another way”, said a Lina whose figure was coming out from the area of the explosion that happened behind the captain.

The captain’s eyes trembled as he saw the battered corpse of one of the shield users, which was now falling from the sky, he was the one protecting the fan user girl, who by the way had a faint red energy barrier covering her.

“Crack!”, a barrier that shattered the next second, following by the one being protected by it vomiting blood as her eyes rolled backwards, she fainted and also fell from the sky.

The only one that was still alive or conscious was the shield user that rushed to help him earlier, he was the furthest from the three and even then, all the blue flames as well as the intent that cladded his shield was gone, only some wisps of flames covered his body and he had horrified expression on his face as he looked at Lina.

Aster on the other hand was smiling at the sight of the though small, still noticeable change on the core of the flames that enveloped Lina, which had turned bright yellow.

‘It’s much smaller and her eyes didn’t change unlike Nina, but it’s the same process, those yellow flames are made out of spirit energy and the orange ones are now using her body as their medium’, concluded Aster.

As ecstatic as Lina was due to the result of her previous attack when her anger reached a new level after listening to the enemy say he was going to target Nina, right on her face, the sister in the middle slightly frowned.

She wasn’t “childish” or more accurately as inexperienced as Nina and it also seemed that the change she went through was on a smaller scale, given that her eye color remained orange-red, but she didn’t lose her cool.

So, she didn’t let herself get carried away by this state, unlike the youngest of the three sisters… too much.

‘This energy firm, it feels similar to what we felt coming from Nina’s battlefield, I like it’, she excitedly thought to then gaze at the remaining shield user and slash her sword in his direction.

“W-Wai…!”, the shield user felt his survival instincts scream but he couldn’t even finish screaming before his head… exploded in orange and flames with a yellow core, blazing bits if flesh scattered all over the area before the headless corpse fell from the sky.

“Booom!”, what’s more, the explosion was heard after he died, meaning that her attack had surpassed the speed of sound and by quite a lot, the interesting part is that the shield user didn’t die to burning like what happened with Nina’s victims, his head quite literally exploded instead.

Seeing the sister in the middle turn to see in his direction, the captain felt his back drench in cold sweat.

‘She killed him without using even a damn technique!’, he screamed in his heart, unlike Nina who completely overwhelmed her opponents just with her flames and her swordsmanship, Lina knew she would need to use a technique to destroy the opponent in a single move, it was normal, her fighting style required her to do many attacks in succession if she wasn’t using spirit techniques, as she lacked in terms of physical strength.

But now, she killed a defense focused peak Carnal Disaster realm cultivator from the distance by just slashing her sword at him and she loved it.

Lina who realized she was getting too into it, felt Aster’s gaze on her.

‘I already had to sent one fainted little girl, so take a deep breath and calm down a bit’, he jokingly said, which made the sister in the middle blush a bit to then clear her throat.

‘Ahem, sorry for that’, she mumbled in a voice that only Aster could hear.

The captain who though couldn’t listen to their little exchange, could see Lina blush and notice Aster’s gaze on her, was at a loss for words.

‘That bastard is… flirting with that bitch after she brutalized those three!’, he thought to then turn around and directly flee.

“Blazing Path!”, with his temporary second level flames, the first thing he did was use his movement technique as if his ass was on fire, what a joke, he was sure that he couldn’t kill one of the shield users and gravely wound the other while also forcing the defensive treasure of the girl from the Fireheart to the limit with a single attack, in other words in terms of damage he was now on the losing end.

And even with Blazing Path and the second level of Blaze Commandment he couldn’t even catch a glimpse of the attack Lina used to kill the remaining shield user, so his speed was now way too far from hers too, the only way he had to save his life was making a run for it while those two were distracted, or so he thought before… he was engulfed by a yellow flash that was followed by an explosion.

It happened way too fast, for others to notice, but Aster’s dragon eyes could see the purple flames that enveloped the captain, turn yellow a fraction of a second before he was blasted into smithereens.

‘Well, I did expect the fight to end rather fast, but I bet even she didn’t want it to be this fast’, he amusingly thought as he looked at the lost expression on Linas face as she saw the yellow core of her flames turning back to its orange tone, before she was assaulted by a sudden sensation of tiredness.
