“I will temporarily take custody of the Jinns the Azothralls captured,” Thirteen announced in the conference room, where the leaders of the Wanderers and Jinns were gathered.
“Their condition is not very stable right now, so I need to hide them in a safe place. We can’t risk the Azothralls finding them again.”
Tristan, Douglas, Wendell, Trevor, and the Thrones, who were currently in the Cygni Continent attended the meeting and listened to Thirteen’s statement.
The Jinns didn’t mind agreeing to his request. Although the Azothralls had gone into hiding, they understood that it would be a problem if the other party were to recapture the hostages.
“So, what now?” asked Prince Zepharion of the Garuda Empire. “Although the Azothralls are still a threat, how do we proceed from here? Is there any way for us to lure them out of their hiding place?”
Thirteen shook his head. “They will not be tricked a second time. I’m very sure they will go into hiding to recover from their injuries and keep a low profile for the time being.”
Prince Zepharion and the rest of the Jinns also knew that Zion was stating facts. But that led them to the question.
What would they do from here?
Currently, the war against the Wanderers was put on hold because everyone agreed that the Azothralls was the bigger threat and needed to be dealt with as soon as possible.
Now that this threat had been minimized, most of them wanted to finish what they started.
However, they didn’t dare to voice this out loud, still wary of Zion Leventis.
The teenage boy was calm and didn’t look like he was afraid of resuming his war against the Jinn Army.
The Monarchs and the Thrones, who had seen Thirteen’s trump card, were also thinking that the teenage boy might have other trump cards they could use to win against the invaders of their world.
“I know what the majority of you are thinking,” Thirteen stated. “Sure, the threat of the Azothralls have been reduced drastically since we had agreed on this alliance. I’m sure many of you are itching to restart the war against the Wanderers.
“There’s nothing wrong with it, and it’s perfectly normal for all of you to think that way. However, let me just address a few things before we decide on whether we will resume our war or not.”
Thirteen tapped a few buttons on his communicator, and a giant projection of the Cygni Continent materialized at the center of the conference room.
“Currently, there are still six mutated gates that have still not fully opened,” Thirteen explained. “All six of them have mutated to Genocide-Level Gates. We Wanderers refer to gates that could potentially end humanity a Genocide-Level Gate.
“Frankly, the gates where you came from are also referred to in the same way. But these gates are different. Do you know why?”
Thirteen snapped his fingers, and six purple dots blinked on the map of the Cygni Continent.
One of those purple dots was located in the territory of the Wanderers, while five of them were located in the territory of the Jinns.
“The longer a gate remains inactive, the stronger the creatures behind it. In simpler terms, whatever is going to come out from the other side is exceptionally strong,” Thirteen stated. “These gates will open in less than three weeks, and I have some good news and bad news for everyone. Which news do you want to hear first?”
“The bad news, of course,” Prince Orryn answered.
“Well, the bad news is that there’s a thirty percent chance that a Majin Prince, a Majin Princess, or an Archon will cross over from one of those gates,” Thirteen said. “If they come from your homeworld, and they happen to be your allies, then good for you. If not… well, you already know the answer.”
The faces of the leaders of the Jinns turned solemn after hearing the teenage boy’s explanation.
Some of them thought that Zion was just scaring them. However, they couldn’t rule out the possibility that what he said would come to pass.
“The good news is that we don’t have to worry about any of that until the gates fully open,” Thirteen smirked. “So, how about I make a proposal? Let’s keep our alliance intact until we determine the threats that will emerge from those gates.
“I have this nagging feeling that a third party will once again join the fight, so why not eliminate them first before we all duke it out, yeah?”
Thirteen made this proposal to make the leaders who wished to restart the war hesitate.
Many fear the unknown, and the Jinns are no exception.
They were well aware of Pangea and the Wanderers. But the Azothralls was a first for them.
Although Thirteen wasn’t saying it out loud, he had a feeling that the Azothralls that were currently in the Cygni Continent were merely the vanguard of the Artemians.
Their main strike force might arrive, and he believed that they might be fighting against multiple golden Azothralls, possibly led by an Archon, which had the same rank as a Majin Prince.
Thirteen knew how much the Artemians hate him, especially the King of Artem.
Since they had already hijacked a portal before, what was stopping them from hijacking another one?
After a short discussion, the Jinns agreed to Thirteen’s proposal to wait until the six gates had fully opened.
They then revised the documents of their alliance, adding a few conditions.
One of those conditions was a seven-day ceasefire between all sides if the beings that would emerge from the gates all belonged to the world of Gomorra.
If there were any third parties involved, the Jinns would work hand in hand with the Wanderers to fight them off first.
Once the threat had been eliminated, there would still be a seven-day ceasefire before the war between the Jinns and Wanderers started again.
The Jinns had agreed to this proposal since Thirteen said that it was the right thing to do, especially since all of them had at least fought on the same side, though only for a short period of time.
The Wanderers sighed in relief. They certainly needed that seven-day grace period to plan whether they should continue fighting or evacuate all the defenders from the continent.
The warships of the Central Government, as well as the warships that belonged to the Monarchs and Thrones, could be mobilized for a mass evacuation if needed.
Thirteen and the leaders of the Wanderers had a meeting beforehand. They had agreed that if ever the invaders that would come out of the six gates were from Gomorra, all of them would flee for the time being.
Why?
The answer was simple.
Athena would be able to recharge one of her beam strikes every month.
This means that Thirteen could simply annihilate the location of the strongest Jinns in Gomorra and obliterate an entire city along with them.
Athena’s beam strike was like a nuclear strike that dealt devastating damage when concentrated on one spot.
Not to mention, he didn’t only have Athena.
Nautilus was also there to provide devastating strikes from the sea, and surely, the Jinns understood that although the Wanderers were no longer in the Cygni Continent, the battles would still continue from beyond their borders.
If he did that long enough, the Jinns would definitely feel threatened, opting them to come to a compromise with the Wanderers.
This was why Thirteen was confident that even if the Wanderers didn’t win the war, they would still be able to gain territories, allowing them to live side by side with the Jinns in the Cygni Continent.
