What they found wasn’t Khepri’s ornament, it was a bit farther behind the entity, inside a golden cube, which seemed to have several holes, as if the creature they encountered had tried to reach it, but it was unable to.

However, what they found, this being, was already beyond just the aliens, the Doppelgangers they had battled. Aquarina’s eyes widened in surprise, because the Orichalcum Golem she was expecting to fight was right there.

Its circuits and metals have now merged with a Doppelganger- no, several of them. these Doppelgangers took the shapes of monsters from the desert, and some were even humanoid. It seemed they were unable to hunt down the one they copied their DNA.

But at some point, something terribly wrong happened, and they assimilated the Orichalcum Golem, something that nobody thought even possible or ever considered at all!

“W-What the hell am I seeing?!” asked Silvia. “Is that the Orichalcum Golem?!”

“GRUOOOHHH!”

The moment it set its eyes on them; the monstrosity began charging against them immediately. Its entire body was humanoid, similar to the Orichalcum Golem, with blocky arms, legs, and a block-shaped head.

However, there were several cracks and holes through its body, where many mushrooms, translucent blue in color, grew, and where several of these Doppelgangers had literally melted and merged with it.

The golem’s eyes were glowing bright red, but also blue due to the alien’s spores growing all over it… To make things more horrifying, its core, the crystalized core, had been covered with tiny cracks where the alien’s tentacles infiltrated, gaining power to sustain itself this entire time!

“I never thought this was even possible!” Aquarina said. “But yes! It’s the Orichalcum Golem merged with… a couple of the Doppelgangers!”

Things only became more unnerving when everyone realized that underground spring was full of giant mushrooms everywhere! The aliens were making that cold and humid area their breeding grounds, and perhaps thanks to the Golem’s as a source of energy, they had been living here for so long, waiting for an opportunity to finally step out, or wait for a meal to drop by.

“GRAAAHHHH!”

The screams of multiple Doppelgangers merged together echoed, as it moved its massive Orichalcum Golem arms, smashing the floor with immense force.

BAAAM! BAAAM! BAAAM!

RUMBLE!

As it did, several cracks through the ground emerged while the entire cavern system trembled, large boulder started falling from the ceiling, blocking their path.

“The path’s blocked!” Justicio said, swinging his armored hands as he destroyed the stones falling from the ceiling.

“It’s not like we came here to run away either way,” said Aquarina. “I could easily grind through that, hell, we could even drill the ceiling and get out… But we came here to eliminate that thing and also to find Khepri’s ornament, right?”

“R-Right!” Justicio nodded, quickly encompassing his whole body with his golden scarab armor, which even gave him a second pair of golden, insectoid metallic arms and a pair of translucent bug wings.

“You’re not wrong Aquarina…” said Silvia, agreeing. “We have to take it down!”

“Yeah, I know this is nonsensical and horrifying to even look at, but it still technically a damaged Orichalcum Golem and that alien inside of it, nothing new!” said Khepri. “We must first burn the alien and then shatter the golem’s core! Thankfully, it has some cracks already.”

“Then this is the plan, I charge and draw its attention,” Aquarina said, fully transforming, her entire body emanating a tremendous aura of abyssal energies, as she was covered by draconic scales, and her body size increased alongside her bulk, almost matching that of her mother. “You two will aim at the alien while I’ll try to see if I can spread those cracks!”

“Alright!”

“Gotcha!”

“I’ll help as well!”

Justicio, Silvia, and Pyuku spoke at the same time, as the trio rushed right behind Aquarina while their bulky friend charged like a rhino.

“Want to fight? I’m right here! Fight me!”

Aquarina reached the Orichalcum Golem Doppelganger monstrosity, swinging her massive draconic claws against it and unleashing explosions of abyssal darkness and abyssal frost.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

The frost spread through the golem’s body, slowing it down, however, the Doppelganger seemed unaffected by it. And it made sense, they were aliens that lived in the vacuum of space, low temperatures were of no issue against them, even freezing ice could not stop them.

“GRAAAHH!”

The monster roared, swinging its arms against Aquarina wildly, several consecutive blows in a row reached her, much faster than how the golem usually was. And its arms were covered on its mushrooms and tentacles, aiming to pierce its foes with them to create many clones and overwhelm them.

BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!

As she tanked the hits with her arms, she felt her Aura wavering, noticing that the Doppelganger possessed its own Aura, of course, and both of them were clashing.

It was something she had discovered when she battled them with her friends, when the Doppelganger Alien fully matures, it develops Psychic Powers it uses to imitate its prey original strengths.

And now, after merging together, this Doppelganger Amalgamation merged all of their innate Psychic Energies, and further strengthened it by fusing it with the energies of the Orichalcum Golem’s core.

The result? A surprisingly powerful Aura of their own!

TRUUUM!

As both Auras clashed, Aquarina smiled, as she quickly unleashed a power the Doppelganger, obviously, did not possess.

“Maybe you’ve got an Aura, sure… But you can’t copy this,” Aquarina smiled proudly.

Aquarina’s activated her two Auras, and then merged them, as a gigantic, two-headed dragon surged from within it, roaring ferociously.

“{Divine Abyssal Frost Leviathan Double Aura}”

“ROOOAARR!”

“RAAAARRGH!”

As it roared mightily, the Dragon attacked the monster, pushing it back with powerful claws and bites, tearing through its alien flesh and then freezing its armored body, slowing it down temporarily.

As this happened, Aquarina concentrated her Aura into her fists, generating a massive explosion as she punched the golem’s core with all her force put into it!

BOOOM!

The core instantly gained a few tiny cracks, which spread through it, letting out some of its internal energies and the souls stored inside.

“Now go!”

Aquarina kept it busy, and her friends rapidly surrounded it.
