Chapter 2437 - 2437: Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra II

“I will just return everything back to you!” Adrian stated as all of the large boulders were sent back to the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra.

The mirrors also increased the speed by double but that also affected Adrian’s own mana usage. Still, Adrian only lost about 25% of his maximum mana and he already returned the attack of the enemy. A good investment when it comes to both defending and attacking indeed. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra slammed the ground once more and created a large ice wall that blocked the boulders that Adrian returned.

The ice wall shattered but all of the boulders were turned to smaller rocks in the process as the wall is enhanced by the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra looked directly at Adrian as he was now the target even though he barely did any damage to it. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra or rather other primordial beasts do not have a dedicated aggro system like other raid monsters or boss monsters.

The primordial beasts have something called a prediction mechanic where they determine the most troublesome of the people attacking them. This includes all of the players that are in the raid which means the support players are added as well. If the primordial beast determines that a priest or support player is the most troublesome then they will focus on that player until they are dead. This time, Adrian is the one that has been tagged as the most troublesome hence he became the primary target of the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra.

The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra proceeded to grow ice spikes from its large body and release them all at once. The ice spikes did not go into different directions but were actually controlled by the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra itself. All the ice spikes flew towards Adrian at a fast speed that he needed to enter his mirror to escape. The mirror that he entered was shattered before it could be unsummoned, but he manages to dodge the attack.

Adrian appeared in another mirror a few meters away and the ice spikes actually turned around to hit him. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra did not stop with just the ice spikes though as it once again summoned ice twisters that swirled towards the walls. It seems that even if Adrian became the primary target of the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra, the enemy has the mental capacity to aim for its true goal.

“Let us take this to the sky then!” Adrian stated as he entered a mirror and vanished from his location.

Adrian did not close the mirror that he entered through which meant that all of the ice spikes that were aimed towards him also entered with him. As soon as all of the ice spikes entered the mirror, the air became silent, and they feared that Adrian got killed inside the mirror dimension. Since Adrian himself was not leading, Anastacia assumed command as she is part of the priest group, and the next commander should Adrian become unable to lead.

“Mages! Counter the ice twisters!” Anastacia commanded as all of the mages once again channeled their mana for another spell.

Since they are in the northern continent, using fire elemental spells cost more mana than in the central continent. The mages did not care much though as they are both an offensive and defensive group. The mages did not even stop with their chanting as their mana ran dry. Those that needed more mana chugged the special mana potion that came from the Pantheon guild which is created by Brew himself.

[You have restored all of your mana using the Special Mana Concoction 2.3.]

[You have triggered the special effect of Special Mana Concoction 2.3 and gained a 50% chance to have no mana cost when using spells for the next 10 minutes.]

“We are filled with power!” The mages shouted as some of them triggered the special effect of the potion created by Brew.

“All with me! Flame Vortex!” Peridot shouted as she enhanced all of the spells once again.

A large flaming tornado then swept forwards which destroyed the ice twisters that the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra created. The power of the ice twisters was no match against the combined might of the mage unit. The flame vortex continued on until it reached the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra, but the beast merely created another ice wall that blocked the flaming vortex.

As if on cue, a large mirror once again appeared on top of the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra. Adrian then flew downwards while being chased by hundreds of thousands of ice spikes. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra felt the presence of the demon, but it could not look up due to its sheer size and anatomy. Adrian unexpectedly found a weakness of the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra.

Adrian then reverted back to his normal form and released his wings in order to fly faster than ever. When Adrian flew faster, the ice spikes also flew faster in response which he actually liked. Adrian applied Chrono Shift Max to his own body, and he almost broke the sound barrier. Adrian then reached the top of the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra’s body and looked up as the ice spikes followed.

Adrian smiled and activated Time Stop just before the first ice spike hits his face. He then proceeded to teleport away from the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra. Time flowed once again, and all of the ice spikes hit the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra as those projectiles cannot teleport away like Adrian. He purposely sped up the ice spikes as he knows that the physical aspect of the attack will deal more damage to the enemy than the elemental aspect of it.

The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra growled in pain as a hole is suddenly carved onto its back. The ice that covered its back is also cracked as a result of the redirected attack from Adrian. This is extremely effective, but it also cost a lot of stamina as Adrian flew quite a bit and also used numerous spells so that the ice spikes cannot keep up.

The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra turned towards Adrian’s direction and proceeded to open its mouth wide. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra suddenly proceeded to try and devour Adrian whole as the suction force was enhanced by wind magic. The pulling force is as powerful as the black holes that Adrian could create. He suddenly had an idea that he thought of as a way to counter the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra.

“Dodu, I hope you can forgive me if you cannot survive this.” Adrian stated.

“Dodu, understands! Dodu will do its best for master!” Dodu replied via their soul link as Adrian proceeded to summon this soulbound.

Adrian summoned Dodu is its true size which shocked the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra was about to close its mouth, but Adrian pulled Charon from the ground and released chains. He already activated his limit break earlier while he was being chased by the ice spikes. He did not summon all his soulbounds though as he did not want them to be lost in the mirror dimension.

“Dodu! I trust you!” Adrian shouted as Dodu entered the mouth of the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra.

The chains that Charon released were able to open the mouth of the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra for a moment and have Dodu enter the body of the enemy. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra proceeded to cough as Dodu entered its body. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra tried to spit Dodu out, but the latter clung to the esophagus of the enemy like a nasty phlegm that cannot be excreted out.

Dodu safely entered but it lost half its health on the way. Thankfully, Adrian used Revitalizing Glow which healed Dodu back to full health. He then commanded Dodu to wreak havoc in the insides of the enemy and break down the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra from within. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra tried to expel Dodu once again and it managed to actually spit out some pieces, but Dodu can easily split itself apart.

[You soulbound, Dodu, has reduced the defenses of the Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra by 1%.]

Adrian smiled as soon as he saw the notification as the gamble actually paid off. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra wanted to expel Dodu out, but it needed to focus on that instead of attacking Adrian. The Primordial Beast of Frozen Tundra suddenly felt that it must freeze itself entirely in order to defeat the enemy that has entered its body.

“Do you think I will let you do that?!” Adrian stated as he shifted back to his mirror demon form and summoned mirrors once again. This time, the mirrors carried the second round of Giga Plume Bombs.
