"That is amazing, isn't it?" Jin exclaimed, excitement bubbling within him as he fished out some money alongside the bloodied sword he had received from Atopia. Peppers instantly sensed Jin's eagerness for a live demonstration of the Slime's capabilities. With a playful glint in his eyes, she decided to humour her friend.
"Do you want to enhance Bam and Boo?" Peppers mused, glancing at the bloodied sword as the item to be fused. "It seems like a good catalyst to make those two weapons even stronger but you got to give me more money than this! It is totally not enough to increase the power of Bam and Boo with that little amount of money. Maybe add some gems from the System storage as well?" However, before Jin could respond, the System's voice echoed around them, an unwavering authority that cut through the air.
"No. The System does not permit the User to sacrifice that bloodied sword and money as catalysts for weapon enhancement," the System declared, its tone leaving no room for argument. "When the time is right, the System will allow the improvement of those two swords. But not now. You are currently overwhelmed with your workload."
At that moment, curiosity hung thick in the air, mingling with the anticipation of the others in the room. Peppers raised an inquisitive eyebrow, intrigued by the System's decision to hold back on Jin's ambitions.

"What's so special about these weapons?" he inquired, a playful smile creeping onto his face.
"Aside from the fact they can handle chi and magic and have the ability to transform, they're merely Rank A weapons... Rank S, perhaps, to those who've never laid eyes on real weapons before. Right, Peppery Slime?" Peppers directed ger gaze toward the Slime, which was already drooling at the thought of the weapons it was about to consume. The slime's gooey form jiggled in response, clearly eager for a taste of the powerful artifacts.
The Dungeon Supplier, standing nearby with an expression of determination, couldn't hold back any longer. "Mind explaining a little?" he pressed, feeling it was his right to understand why the System had denied Jin's request. Initially, the System had been reluctant to disclose anything.
It felt that Jin should focus on his tasks without distraction. But as the Dungeon Supplier faced mounting threats from both Demons and Celestials, perhaps revealing the nature of its plans wouldn't be so detrimental after all. The atmosphere shifted, charged with anticipation as the System took a moment to gather its thoughts. "These weapons possess a unique potential," the System finally stated, its tone more contemplative.
Jin looked around at his companions, their expressions a mix of curiosity and scepticism. The System's mechanical voice resonated with an unwavering authority, yet doubt lingered like a distant echo. Jin couldn't shake off the feeling that there was more at play than what was being revealed."The information being released pertains to ancient weaponry, unique to the conflict between the Heavenly and Hell Planes," the System continued, its tone devoid of emotion. "This weaponry possesses capabilities beyond the comprehension of standard fare, and it is essential for the User, Jin, to understand the magnitude of this knowledge. The System shall reveal this information in a few years time."
Yun crossed her arms, pondering the System's words. "But why the delay? If Jin's experiences in Atopia and the decompressed periods have allowed him to transcend time, shouldn't that merit immediate access to this crucial information? It seems counterintuitive to impose a timeline when he has already outpaced it."
"Indeed," Jin interjected, brandishing his usual tenacity. "I've spent countless hours honing my skills and navigating realms that most can only dream of. Does that not count for something? A few extra years shouldn't be a barrier," The System's lights blinked, processing the arguments presented before it.
"The delay was established to ensure that Users are prepared both mentally and physically to wield such power. The requirement is merely a threshold; it signifies readiness but does not encapsulate the entirety of comprehension required for this advanced weaponry. Maturity in handling power is crucial to avoid catastrophic outcomes."
Jin rolled his eyes, frustration bubbling beneath the surface. "But isn't the whole point of our journey to adapt and grow through experience, whether it be in battle or through knowledge? Shouldn't we have the autonomy to choose when we're ready?"
"In a perfect scenario, perhaps," the System admitted, a hint of acknowledgment lingering in its tone. "However, the nature of such weaponry is intertwined with supposed information not cleared for knowing. Misuse could lead to rifts in the multiverse, and that is a risk The System was not programmed to allow. It is the role of the System to protect against ignorance in the face of power."
Yun leaned forward to look at the swords as she felt they were in an impasse. "So, what happens now? Are we to sit here and wait for you to unveil this information slowly? Just release the goddamn information. I will take responsibility if needed." The System then process the possibilities and subsequently 'sigh' and agreed to release the information.
"Bam and Boo were not merely artifacts; they were creations born from the depths of another world, where craftsmanship is beyond supreme." The System then stated that the story began with Ex System User Ming, who, though not directly involved in the intricate process of their procurement, had meticulously outlined the requirements for the System, ensuring that his lineage would be equipped with unparalleled weapons.
And the System, in its unwavering commitment to fulfil these demands, went beyond the bare minimum—investing time and energy to search for a set of weapons that would endure through the ages despite the past conflict with Ming.
As Peppers listened to the System's explanation, a flicker of realization crossed her mind. "Wait. If you mean by painstakingly… Do you mean that You. The System. Purposely went to get it from THAT particular world?" Her voice carried a blend of awe and suspicion, as pieces of a greater puzzle began to assemble in her mind.
"Peppers, what do you mean?" His question buzzed through the air, making everyone notice.
Peppers took a moment to gather her thoughts. "I was casually checking out records that the System had left before your inception into the System. It was more about learning the history and how to better serve our current master," she began, her tone casual but laden with significance. The System interjected, reminding them that Peppers had initially embarked on this research out of sheer boredom, long before Jin could assert control over her activities.
"Apparently, Zeru ventured into a world renowned for its weaponry. At first, I surmised he must have been on a quest to procure a legendary weapon, considering the calibre and reputation of the arms fashioned there. However, during a casual conversation, he mentioned that his weapon was nothing more than a simple wooden bokuto he received from the System's stores—a stark contrast to what I had imagined." The revelation hung in the air, creating a ripple of disbelief.
Peppers felt a shiver run down her spine as she glanced around, acutely aware of the System's omnipresence. It was as if every word she spoke reverberated through a vast network of surveillance, an unyielding authority that allowed her to tread carefully on the edge of revelation.
Her fingers then danced over Bam and Boo, the relics that had become the focal point of their adventure, but the weight of her confession lingered in the air. "Look, Jin," she continued, trying to restore some semblance of calm. "I've seen countless weapons across various realms, and trust me, nothing in that current System database suggests that Bam and Boo were ever forged. It's as if they don't belong at all."
She could see the confusion in Jin's eyes, as if he were piecing together a puzzle that didn't quite fit. "But if they were indeed broken into two halves in the first place, how would anyone even begin to identify their origin? And if the System hints were true…"
As Jin listens to Peppers attempt to skirt around the revelation of the System secrets, he examined Bam and Boo more closely and the relics seem to sparkled with a mysterious allure, whispering secrets of their past. It was then the System decided to release the nickname used for that place in question.
"It is from the World Of Living Weapons."
