As the Chaos continued to ensue outside of Ress, the kingdom enclosed within the isolation barrier had never been better. Refugees who came in were in for a shock.
They had never seen so many high rise buildings (which Jin and his mage engineers had managed to fix after the loss of the isolation barrier) and the city was enormous compared to their kingdoms.
There were no horses or carts on the streets and everything was running through metal carriages that were capable of carrying more than a dozen people through the roads. Speaking of roads, the cobblestone roads were so neatly done that there were long metal tracks that allowed those metal carriages to carry people from one area to another.
The streets were filled with a variety of plants and trees which made the city lush and beautiful. But this was compounded by the fact that the citizens had a different kind of streetwear than the refugees.
They looked rather comfortable and stylish with the autumn winds blowing through the city but the ones that caught their eyes were actually the soldiers. They were well equipped with some sort of vest and a wooden stick that made them look rather professional carrying them.
Only those mage soldiers on duty were the only ones able to move through the skies not impeded by the rules that had been implemented by the kingdom. Unless there was an emergency, those skies were permissible by the military soldiers or emergency forces if there was a medical or fire emergency.
Other than that, the only thing that was in the sky was huge holographic screens that showed the progress of the various dungeon portals that were opened. Jin had continued that tradition and people could see what was happening in the various dungeon portals.
S were now included to promote the kingdom's propaganda but most of them were advice or recruitment for people to several temporary positions.
This was mainly due to the fact that the dungeons were running twenty four seven and they needed people to take over the salvaging of resources. All of those resources were used to feed and improve the city while the important ones that had military application had been sent to the war factories.
With the advent of the System into the Ress, more of these War Factories popped up not because Jin was working hard on improvise smithing. Rather, his minions who had been rather well versed in military construction had set these war factories up.The System analysed the automated war factory that Jin had created previously and it was able to break down what had been used to create those war factories.
The minions worked overtime to get the basic foundation of those buildings up and Jin came in to complete it by giving the final magical touch with his improvised smithing skill and they became operational in no time.
With these, more advanced military weapons were forged out from those war factories. Sherman Tanks had been replaced with Abrams Tanks as well as the production of Black War Tortoise tanks, a tribute to Jin's Four Cardinals. They were black in colour and their metal plates were coated with monster compounds that could withstand a missile or two easily.
However, the most important thing that all these war factories were producing was actually the Anti Celestial compound which Jin used to kill the Celestials. ƒ
In a secret lab that only Jin's Head Researcher Ayse and a handful of the System Science Department could access, the King of Ress had summoned Vishnu, the God of Preservation on a daily basis for his Orc researcher study the effects of the Anti Celestial compound on him.
With each passing day, the results were astonishing as Ayse worked tirelessly to improve it. They finally figured out how the Anti Celestial compound had affected the Celestials. With the introduction of the compound into their bodies, the Celestial Energy was disrupted just as how accurately a good acupuncture strike was able to block a portion of the chi circuit and potentially backfire them.
Introducing more of such compound did not increase the lethality of the disruption but it did prolong the duration for the Celestial circulating it in their celestial circuits. Of course, their only specimen was only the God of Preservation and with his specialty, the results might actually vary against standard high tier Celestials.
Yet, the theory still stands.
If it can work well on the toughest few Celestials, it will definitely be effective against the regular high tier Celestials. Unfortunately, Jin really did have a lucky shot against Vishnu when he fully underestimated the humans as Vishnu had simulated putting up a regular barrier to stop those bullets mixed with the Anti Celestial compound.
They were not useless since they did disrupt the barrier's capability to a certain extent, causing it to be weaker against attacks but as long as the Anti Celestial compound did not enter the Celestial's body, it could only be considered as a compound capable of weakening their attacks.
So, Ayse had produced bullets, shells, missiles, and even buff spells that utilised the Anti Celestial Compounds. Once verified against the God of Preservation, the System Science Department would then send it for mass production and they were doing it at such a frightening pace that even Jin would not dare to interfere with Ayse and her department.
All he did was comply with the orders and see Lord Vishnu suffer in silence. There were no emotions in him and whenever he was compelled to do something, he quietly did it for the sake of Ayse's science experiments.
With this, the City of Ress was becoming more and more prepared for the inevitable. Each certified citizen had been armed with a wand rifle regardless of their occupation and they needed to go training on a weekly basis to ensure that they had the competency to fight against the Celestials and Demons.
Oh, and speaking of Demons… the System was undoubtedly relentless in getting Jin to pick up those 'materials'.
