Chapter 2078: The Real Prep Talk

"Fuckk…" The Star Foxes who were still hidden at the edge of the bamboo forest saw the masses walking towards it.

"Yea, I know right? Why does it have to be this fun?" Kraft said and the Star Foxes around him were surprised to learn that the Devil Fox was right beside them. They quickly bow their heads in apologies and Kraft forgave them. "It is precisely because of the awe of the numbers that you all let your guard that for that instant. You are not exactly to be blamed." Explore hidden tales at

"Lord Kraft. Why are you here and not with King Jin?" One of the Star Foxes asked and Kraft smiled.

"A very good question indeed."

"Not to be disrespectful but I remembered that you do not mind us dead, that is why I- erm I also believe the rest had also-"

"Just cut the crap and say it bluntly. Do you think we have time to debate with that volume of enemy right in front of us?" Kraft asked and he was not wrong. The numbers they presented were not funny a single bit. If Jin had the original System with him, this would be more than just a boon. He could literally replace a small nation’s military with that kind of number.

The sheer volume of the Locust Orcs should have already been an indicator that Jin and those who knew tactics already in the known that this would be an extremely bitter fight to go through. They would be overwhelmed even though they had superior firepower when compared to individual strength. But it is precisely because of the numbers, they will not survive.

Is this due to the fact of an abnormal gate opening? It could possibly be the case in the perspective of Jin. However, he had never known that Kraft had been quietly pouring his chi into the gate during its creation and Jin did not notice it mainly because he was dealing with a few ministerial issues with En Moy and Topharm when he was pouring the chi to open a gate.

Not to mention, Kraft had been using his chi ever so often that Jin got too complacent not to detect Kraft’s chi within the midst of a peaceful scenario. But even Kraft had never expected that the sight of Dune Shell Orcs could expand to miles.

As the name had identified the type of Orcs, Dune Shell Orcs were covered with shells. But such shells were earned in this particular world’s dune environment. It was more like a title rather than a characteristic of the Orc. So, basically what the Star Foxes were dealing with were a bunch of orc brutes that had been hardened in the desert and blizzard dunes of this particular world.

Even if they were able to kill a hundred with a single spell, another hundred would automatically come in to recover the ground they had lost. It basically looked like an impossible fight unless they had an almighty being or bomb that could annihilate thousands of orcs in one go.

"Does anyone have an earthquake spell?" One of them laughed bitterly as everyone automatically looked at the Earth Elemental Mages.

"There is no guarantee that all of the Dune Shell Orcs do not have magic spells." One of the Earth Elemental Star Foxes said and the rest chuckled at the dismal that he might had pointed out.

"Heh, even without magic, their numbers with bows and projectiles will instantly cover the sun. I rather stay in this shade and shoot from afar until they show their mages out if there were any. If there are no mages, that lucky us, we will expend our magic until not a single drop of it is left within us."

"Why are you all so worried that? Just enjoy the fight. Didn’t you guys said that you all did not see enough action during the Northern Expansion of Ress? Well, now it’s the chance!" Kraft smiled as he pointed to the Dune Shell Orcs with his palms open, as if inviting them to make the first move. "I remember you guys were all fucking cocky saying that you will eventually overcome me.

But how do you do that when you cannot even fight against such a ’small’ number of troops? Then how can I or even King Jin trust you all to serve the frontlines against the Demons?"

"But we are…" The Star Foxes would relunctant to say it as it was something they did not wish to associate themselves with even though it was pretty obvious that everyone in this group was a sinner. Why were they so scared of fighting when their lives should had been forfeited. Didn’t they went through so much shit together when going through Kraft’s worse than hell in hell kind of training?

The torment that they received from Kraft, was it enough for atonement that they believe that they deserve to live once more? Why did Jin placed so much trust in them and in second chances? Was it a random act of kindness?

"No." Kraft cleared all of their doubts.

"Jin was offered a second chance multiple chance. From the use of his powers, his capabilities and to himself. He too had sinned and was willing to move forward for he knew the burdens of those sins as he took up his titles, his positions and even as King of Ress. All those second chances that he gave to his enemies eventually turned and became his friends.

Now I could proudly say that he is what is now because of those second chances and acted on it." Kraft lectured for once and the Star Foxes did not know what prompted him to do so. Yet, they all remembered that it was no doubt that Jin had given them this chance to serve the kingdom which was why they were in this particular dungeon overlooking a sea of unruly orcs.

"But those enemies in front of you, do they deserve a second chance? I do not know. All I know that they are bugs that need to be squashed and the King had ordered some exterminators to clear the pest away from him. I say we do just that." Kraft licked his lips as he took out No Mercy and casually aimed at the Dune Shell Orcs.

With him acting as the helm of the assault, the Star Foxes eyes glowed with their Greater Jewels of Odin as they too activated their grand magic.
