Chapter 2035: Improvised Dungeon Smithing

Obviously, the rest was insufficient. They could feel that their body was aching the moment they relaxed. It was so bad that some of them almost could not walk the moment they lay down. Of course, the food that they ate felt premium and they had a longer and safer time to cook while not being thrown around within the ship.

The hearty meal that they had followed by a long sleep made Jin feel bad giving them a day to rest only.

However, now that their senses were honed, Jin believed it was the best time to start the third portal and this time. This was being modified with much care as Jin realised that the portals.... could be used for improvised smithing as well. He could not believe it at first but it made sense knowing that he could manipulate the portals a little using his Maqi.

When he was bored waiting for the trainees, he decided to test it out. He thought it would fail but he never expected it to work and so he continued to smith it with the training scenario that he had in mind while putting Maqi into it and the result was tremendously effective.

At first, he thought he needed to work like a mad dog to create the thing he wanted. From tools to buildings and then he found out that this improvised smithing was similar to what he had been doing all along. It was like a Dungeon Maker and it can create things based on what he had imagined. The difference between the Dungeon Maker and this was that this was real. It would come out of nowhere.

There was, however, one....small catch. The items he created were not visible until the end. And that was in a literal sense. Jin initially thought he had failed to create the thing he wanted when he entered the Rank A dungeon by himself after the improvised smithing was done but the System kept blinking to Jin, telling him to collect his item.

So, he had decided to kill a few of the monsters only to find out that instead of dropping a corpse and most likely a magic stone that was within them, the monster instantly lay on the floor and transmuted into the object that he wanted.

Rifles.

That was where he decided to kill more of them and it was raining rifles for Jin. Not to mention, there were occasional treasure chests which revealed even more rifles that Jin did not expect. He threw everything in his storage watch and decided to try something big instead.

This was something that the people of Atopia or the people of Ress should have or be capable of producing because of its intricate designs. It should be considered a part of the King’s powers that they were able to see, and use this.

"Maybe this is what had happened to the dwarves in the Goblin World?" Jin thought to himself as he realised that what he was doing was similar to the dwarves and when the world was annihilated once, all these rifles and advanced weaponry would be considered as ancient technology to the people who survived.

No matter, this was not his concern at the moment. His concern was immediate and that was to eradicate the demons, possibly destroy the neighbouring governing bodies and unite them so that they could lead against the angel attacks in five years time.

The latter would be a difficult task but if Jin led the Demon Extermination, he would be overflowing with trust, people, talent, and perhaps the power to lead the coalition. Although he does believe that a show of force was necessary to ensure that they listened before moving forward.

Regardless of that thought, Jin had already opened another portal and started manufacturing doing the same thing but this time, it was planes. To his surprise, they worked. There was nothing that could stop him from making things anymore. But what he found even more surprising was that the planes he created were at his beckon even without people flying inside it.

"Did my yearning for automation make this happen for me?" Jin asked himself but he did not enquire that much as he saw the old model planes start to fire up the engines themselves and move on their own. Jin did not need to command them specifically with every sentence to get them moving but a certain general command was needed to make sure the AI were able to move smoothly.

"Unbelievable. And here I thought that I was going to work with limited tech." Jin said to himself and started to immerse himself in this world of creation. With the planes created, there was no way he could haul them out or put them in his storage watch. If that happened, it would be something similar to an unbelievably huge pocket dimension storage space.

Perhaps Jin might have an EX Rank relic in his possession if that was the case. f

Thus he left this dungeon portal with planes for the trainees’ future use while he went to improvise smithing the next portal that was similar to Portal 5 Crystal Cave. He initially wanted to create a magic crystal item that could help with the low magic capabilities of the trainees.

But now that he discovered he had the power to directly smith the dungeon portals to create items, he believed he could create something more unique than just a magic crystal tool that enabled the trainees to have a better magic capacity.

But instead of a low rank, the Crystal Cave Portal that Jin had called out was actually a Rank S portal. The one where he could only summon once a day and upon summoning, there was a cooldown for one day.

Understanding that he could imagine an AI into an item greatly enhanced the potential of the item and Jin used all his strength and maqi to start building 10 sets of gadgets which he called Magic Eye AI Engines.

And it does look like an eye when Jin enters the dungeon to pick up the Magic Eyes AI Engine. (They were indeed being embedded into the eyes of the monsters that Jin was fighting.) Not to mention, the fights were intensely fierce compared to the other dungeons that he had gone in before.

Even the Crystal Cave did not exactly look like a cave filled with crystals after Jin’s improvised smithing process. The monsters that Jin was fighting against were not the usual monsters and instead, it felt as if he was fighting against bosses.

The sword fights that he engaged with the Spirit Warriors were also utilising the Magic Eye AI Engines to fight against Jin and each Spirit Warrior was equivalent to Kraft’s level.

The only difference was that Kraft was able to fight and compete with a variety of magic but the Spirit Warriors were only using magic that was compatible with their spirits. This made it easy to discover their weakness and yet Jin still fought toe to toe with each of them.

And with each death from the spirit warrior, it did not transmute since the Magic Eye AI Engine was already intact on them. The dungeon did however perform a service for Jin as the Magic Eye AI Engine somehow absorbed the remains of the spirit warrior before Jin picked it up.

It was then the System had a clause at the bottom of the description box for the Magic Eye AI Engine when he picked it up. "Replace the Eye with the real eye for better compatibility with the Magic Eye AI Engine. +256 Magic. By installing Magic Eye AI Engine, the User is able to command limited absolute obedience of the User.

Do note that upon second extraction, the Magic Eye AI Engine would be destroyed." That was when Jin understood what the System was indicating. Sacrifice an eye to receive the powers of this Magic Eye AI Engine.

It was to the point where Jin was tempted to rename it as Odin’s Lesser Jewels which Mr Hammer laughed when he heard about it. "I think it’s a fitting name though. You have yet to go into EX Rank Dungeons which I believe those dungeons would be the kind that will finally give you a challenge. Even the S Rank is considered to be easy peasy for you.

You hardly broke out a sweat despite all that jumping and evading."

The first thing is that Jin needed loyal troops to a certain extent so that they would not betray him and these Odin’s Lesser Jewels would definitely be the first step of making sure that he could stay as the dictator king that he wanted for him to make his plans a reality. After all, he needed to be a boss to run this kingdom ’shop’.

"Now all that is left is to make sure that the group is battle hardened so that they can fight against the elites that had years of experience in them. Oh yea and to make sure they memorise the specific spells properly." Jin said to himself as a mental note when he saw the trainees coming out from the dungeon portal and waited for the next challenge in the third portal.

(with some dread and oddly enough, anticipation.)
