Chapter 6013 Charging Into the Nine Peak Dragon Domain

Chapter 6013 Charging Into the Nine Peak Dragon Domain

The Nine Peak Dragon Domain was a realm composed of nine divine peaks. Once hidden between the seams of space, it was now settled within a vast mountain range.

The nine divine peaks were like nine enormous coiling dragons roaring toward the heavens.

According to the domain lord, when the Primal Chaos Dragon Sovereign vanished, the original Dragon Domain shattered. The remnants of that domain were seized by various factions, each taking a portion of its resources.

The Nine Peak Dragon Domain had acted earlier than most, claiming more than their fair share. On the other hand, some dragon experts were too slow and honest that they only got the resources no one else wanted.

That was why Long Chen’s Dragon Domain was on the edge of collapse, while the Nine Peak Dragon Domain remained a big powerhouse with plenty of resources.

But despite their wealth, they still cast greedy eyes on their starving brethren. Greed, it seemed, was not unique to the human race.

Though located within a mountain range, those mountains looked like mere grass beneath the towering might of the divine peaks. The Nine Peak Dragon Domain was visible from leagues away.

Suddenly, the skies trembled.

Millions of Ten Thousand Dragon Nests tore through the air. The rumbling was deafening, scaring countless birds and beasts into fleeing.

All these Ten Thousand Dragon Nests were heading straight for the Nine Peak Dragon Domain.

At the forefront flew the lead nest, carrying the Dragonblood Legion and the strongest heavenly geniuses of the Dragon Domain. Blood surged in their veins, and a silent fury burned within them.

The domain lord and the other higher-ups could not conceal their worry, but they didn’t say a word. After all, they had entrusted their Dragon Domain to Long Chen. From this point on, they would no longer hold the reins.

Long Chen was quietly staring at the Nine Peak Dragon Domain as they approached. He seemed surprisingly calm.

He knew exactly what needed to be done.

And he knew he could do it.

Well, he had to do it.

“Boss, what’s the plan?” asked Guo Ran.

“Once we’re in,” Long Chen said, his voice steady, “we kill their leaders and target their Sovereign Lords. As for those below Sovereign Lord level… kill them or leave them. I don’t care.”

“Ah…” The domain lord couldn’t help but sigh.

Kill their leaders? Just like that? Wasn’t this madness? Every Dragon Domain possessed a karmic luck divine pool. Once activated, it could drastically amplify the power of their Sovereign Lords.

Back when their own domain was attacked, the domain lord had chosen to just endure it—afraid that activating the divine pool would doom their descendants.

However, the Nine Peak Dragon Domain didn’t have such misgivings. They could just activate their divine pool and fight back.

Because of this, the domain lord had assumed Long Chen would secure control over their karmic luck pool and dragon veins first, leveraging them to force the enemy into submission.

But instead, Long Chen wanted to storm in and just go straight for the kill.

“Are you sure about that? The Nine Peak Dragon Domain has over twenty Sovereign Lords. Their true power far exceeds ours. We should consider a different strategy…” urged the scarlet dragon race’s ancestor.

“Don’t even worry about it. Just leave everything to me,” replied Long Chen confidently.

“But their dragon ancestors are most likely true Sovereign Lords!”

“That’s fine. Even if they are true Sovereign Lords, we can still fight.”

Looking at the domain lord and the dragon ancestors, Long Chen solemnly said, “The truth is, we have no choice. We’re already backed into a corner. Seizing the Nine Peak Dragon Domain is the only way to survive the next battle, so we must take it. There’s no other path forward.”

The domain lord nodded. “We’ve entrusted the Dragon Domain to you, Long Chen. Do as you see fit. Old men like us have grown cautious with age. But this era belongs to you—the young. We’ll support you however we can.”

After a brief pause, Long Chen said, “The Nine Peak Dragon Domain has always tried to devour us. We are only retaliating. Don’t feel any guilt. However, they’re still our kin, so not all of them deserve to die. Only the higher-ups who wish to devour us have to be eliminated.

“To avoid unnecessary casualties, we need to strike fast and hard. Kill the Sovereign Lords immediately to shock them into surrender. That’s the only way to prevent a fight to the death. If we succeed, we preserve both our strength and theirs.”

Turning to Chi Wufeng, Mo Yang, and the other elite disciples, Long Chen commanded, “Once the battle begins, chaos will erupt. I’ll need you to stall their Sovereign sprouts. Disable them, but avoid killing them. That is, unless your life is at risk.”

“Understood.” Chi Wufeng and the others nodded. They all knew that the Dragonblood Legion would be the main offense. Fighting Sovereign Lords was still beyond them.

Although that stung, they accepted the reality. If Long Chen had made this decision, there was a reason.

“Domain lord, I need you and the other elders to assist Chi Wufeng. Reduce casualties wherever you can,” Long Chen added.

Hearing this, the scarlet dragon ancestor argued, “Why are we not part of the main attack? We are still Sovereign Lords. Do you think we’re too old to be useful?”

The other dragon ancestors tried to pull him back, but the old man’s temper was just too bombastic.

Long Chen smiled. “You misunderstand. Age is not a weakness, so how could I consider you useless? But none of you have fought in large-scale battles for many years. To suddenly kill your own kin… I’m sure that would make you feel unwell inside no matter how you suppress it.

“My Dragonblood Legion is different. While we carry dragon blood in our veins, we’re still human. We’ve trained ourselves to view others not by race—but by whether they are friend or foe. That clarity keeps our blades steady. For us, killing them will not burden our hearts.

“And more than that, I can’t risk you showing mercy at the critical moment. That could put everyone in danger. My Dragonblood warriors have lived and bled on the battlefield. They will not make such a mistake.

“As for your role—don’t think I’m giving you an easy job. You must protect our people… and also the enemy from unnecessary death. Think of the level of control and split-second judgment this requires. It’s not something an ordinary youngster can do. I can only entrust this to you.”

Long Chen’s words defused the tension instantly.

Though the scarlet dragon ancestor’s outburst had placed everyone in an awkward spot, Long Chen didn’t rebuke him. Instead, Long Chen gave him face and affirmed his value. The other elders nodded in silent appreciation.

After all, they were Sovereign Lords. Being told they weren’t needed on the main battlefield would wound their pride.

“Remember, Long Chen is the commander,” said the domain lord sternly. “His orders must not be questioned.”

He made sure everyone heard that clearly. If Long Chen had to explain every order, nothing would ever get done. Authority had to be absolute on the battlefield.

“Prepare yourselves!” Long Chen exclaimed.

BOOM!

Just then, their Ten Thousand Dragon Nest smashed into the Nine Peak Dragon Domain’s barrier. Divine light flickered, resisting the charge for only a breath before the barrier shattered.

Alarms erupted across the Nine Peak Dragon Domain.

The war had started!
