Necromancer Of The Shadows
Chapter 1337 - 1337: I Also Want To Be Like Him (Part 2)Outside the shabby restaurant where Evan had met Ashivor and Blaze, Ashivor stood like a frozen sculpture, sweating like a dead pig.
“He is insane. They ae f*cked— royally f*cked,” He muttered while looking in the direction of the Maldrith kingdom’s castle.
Blaze stood right beside Ashivor, staring at the old man with a blank expression, not understanding why he was using such inappropriate language in front of a junior like her.
‘I will have to tell Aunty about this. We can’t let him go senile at such an old age,’ She thought to herself, also turning to look in the same direction as Ashivor.
However, due to her low rank, she couldn’t feel the horror Ashivor was experiencing.
“Uncle, can you tell me what is going on? You have been acting strange for the past few minutes,” She asked, a confused look on her face.
“Your cheap brother went and threw dog shit directly at Winterclaw’s face,” Ashivor said while taking a deep breath, then turned around and walked back into the restaurant. “I need to return to the clan and inform them about what is going on here.”
“Wait!… Wait a second,” Blaze said, baffled by Ashivor’s words, trying to stop him so he could clarify what he meant.
However, Ashivor completely ignored her and soon returned to the room where he had met Evan and Sylvan.
‘Just from their looks, I knew both of them were lunatics. But to think they would go so far as to kill Gustav and his men…’ Ashivor rubbed his eyebrows, feeling a massive headache.
‘I don’t know how Winterclaw will react once news of Gustav’s death reaches him.’
The old man sighed again and felt like crying.
“Now I don’t know if it was the right decision to team up with those lunatics. Damn it, I definitely didn’t sign up for this sh*t.”
Blaze looked at Ashivor, who was on the verge of tears, and for a moment, felt deep respect for her cheap brother.
Although she didn’t know exactly what had happened, she was certain it was definitely related to Evan.
“I wish I could also become like him.”
She also wanted to make Rank Five Core Evolvers cry—without even needing to fight them.
Suddenly, her head was grabbed by a hand. The hand gently but firmly forced her to turn her face sideways, revealing Ashivor staring at her with a serious expression.
“You can’t…” He said, leaning in. “Don’t even think about becoming like that lunatic.”
“But—”
“No buts.” Ashivor tightened his grip around Blaze’s head. “If you ever think about becoming like that lunatic again, I will lock you in a prison for the rest of your life. Do you understand?”
Despite being a phoenix, Blaze nodded like a chicken, fully aware that Ashivor was completely serious about throwing her into prison.
“Good…” The old man nodded and activated the teleportation formation within the room.
‘I don’t want her to mess around like that lunatic and die without even knowing how.’
The blinding silver light of the teleportation formation engulfed the room, and both Ashivor and Blaze disappeared.

Just like Ashivor, the other Rank Five and several powerful Rank Four Core Evolvers present in the kingdom also felt the horrifying impact of the battle between Gustav and Evan.
Especially when Evan used the third form of the Soul Slayer War Arts— Annihilation. Although Sylvan had suppressed its aftereffects, the terrifying energy of destruction it released still sent chills down the spines of all high-level Core Evolvers who felt it firsthand.
Not all of Gustav’s high-ranking Core Evolvers had been in the castle when Evan attacked, as many were stationed in different parts of the kingdom.
Soon, through those Core Evolvers, the news of Gustav’s death reached Winterclaw, since the kingdom—and its king—served under him.
“See… Didn’t I say he would come after you on his own?” An amused voice reached Winterclaw’s ears from the side.
Winterclaw didn’t bother turning his head, staring out at the snowfield outside his castle, murderous intent glowing in his beastly eyes.
“Don’t tell me you are angry just because he killed some of your men?” Mythrenor asked, still shrouded in black mist, walking to a chair and taking a seat.
“You know better than anyone what it means for him to wipe out Gustav and his men,” Winterclaw replied in a cold voice. “He can already kill Rank Five Core Evolvers. If we don’t deal with him soon, he will definitely become a threat.”
Mythrenor tapped his finger on the armrest of the chair, then spoke after a few seconds of silence.
“He doesn’t have much time. If he wants to save that girl and merge your source with her, he will have to act within the next few months. Even if he uses abnormal methods, it would be impossible for him to reach beyond mid-level Rank Four in that time…”
As Mythrenor spoke, he stood up, and his figure began to fade away.
“I will go take a look at the battle site. Though I doubt I will find him, we can at least assess his current combat abilities to some extent.”
Winterclaw continued standing by the window, gazing at the icy fields outside.
“A few months, huh… I wonder what level he will reach in that time.”
Leaving the castle, Mythrenor headed toward the Maldrith kingdom. With his abilities and the help of a few teleportation formations, he reached his destination in just a few minutes.
“It’s been quite some time since I last came to this place…” Mythrenor muttered to himself, approaching the castle where the fight had taken place.
As he arrived at the location, his expression couldn’t help but change—especially when he saw the area that had been completely erased from existence by the first attack of the creature Evan had summoned.
Just as Mythrenor was scanning the surroundings, he suddenly felt a presence and turned his head—only to see someone walking toward him.
“That’s… a shadow undead.”
