LEGENDARY BROKEN PLAYER - VRMMORPG
Chapter 800 - 800 - The Hidden FortressOne of the dragonkin, his expression sharp and alert, scanned the area carefully, his golden eyes flickering with suspicion.
“We’re being watched.”
Broken immediately ordered Pawpaw to stay still, making sure the demon cat didn’t make a single movement. From their reaction, it was clear—they hadn’t pinpointed anyone’s location yet.
But then again…
When they said “we’re being watched”, were they referring to Broken observing from a distance?
Or was there someone else?
SexyGrill leaned in slightly, whispering to him, “What’s the plan, Broken?”
“We can’t take the risk of revealing ourselves right now—not right after they just massacred an entire group of players in a blind rage,” he murmured back.
“But if we don’t try to talk to them now, they’re going to leave,” she countered.
“We can still follow them,” Broken replied, his voice firm. “If we track them, we might be able to find their real base.”
SexyGrill nodded slowly, understanding his reasoning.
Meanwhile, the dragonkin remained on high alert, their bodies tense, their movements calculated as if they were preparing to attack whoever they believed was spying on them.
But at the very least, Broken was sure Pawpaw wasn’t the one who triggered their suspicion. Your journey continues at My Virtual Library Empire
The demon cat stayed completely still, blending into the darkness, making no movements that could draw their attention.
Yet… the dragonkin’s unease wasn’t fading.
So who, or what, were they sensing?
These dragonkin… they were a real threat.
Broken knew he had to think carefully before making any move. Revealing himself now could be a mistake, especially when he still had no idea where they stood—were they allies or enemies?
More than that, he needed to understand their intentions before deciding anything.
Maylock had mentioned something before—a dragonkin had been seen in the High Elf Queen’s palace in the Central Continent.
What did that mean?
Were these dragonkin opposed to the High Elves? Or were they working together?
Were they potential allies… or would they become an even bigger problem?
And then, there was Ivana.
If she had ever come to this place, shouldn’t there be some kind of clue left behind? Something—anything—that indicated her presence?
Was she… possibly hiding among these dragonkin?
There were too many questions.
And Broken needed answers.
If he wanted to know where the dragonkin lived and where they were hiding, he had to track them first.
After watching for a while, Broken saw the dragonkin finally decide to leave. They walked a few steps before flapping their powerful wings and quickly taking off into the sky.
“Pawpaw, follow them from below. Stay hidden and don’t get detected.”
Without a sound, Pawpaw leapt from the tree, blending seamlessly into the shadows as he darted after the flying dragonkin.
But then—
One of the dragonkin suddenly stopped mid-air, hovering in place while the others turned to look at him.
What were they thinking?
At that exact moment, Broken realized the problem.
They weren’t looking down.
They were looking up.
Right at Zepy, his flying golem.
“Zepy!”
In an instant, the dragonkin shot toward the golem, chasing it down at full speed!
“Zepy, hide! Get out of there!”
[Ethereal Cloak (Active Skill) activated]
The flying golem immediately vanished into invisibility, but the effect would only last for 10 seconds. And against enemies who could fly just as fast, hiding for only 10 seconds might not be enough.
Zepy bolted, flying away at max speed, but to Broken’s horror, the dragonkin were still following.
They could still sense it.
Damn. These dragonkin were far more dangerous than he had expected. If they caught Zepy, they would destroy it instantly—and considering how much gold and rare materials he had spent to create the flying golem, that was absolutely not an option.
Thinking quickly, Broken made a decision.
He ordered Zepy to fly even further away, leading the dragonkin away from his real location.
Then—just before the invisibility wore off, Broken activated a skill.
[Summon Elemental Golem (Conditional Active Skill) Lv. 2 activated]
In an instant, Zepy disappeared from the air…
And reappeared right next to Broken.
He let out a deep breath, relief washing over him.
That was close. Too close.
His flying golem was priceless—recreating something this advanced wouldn’t be easy. There was no way he was going to let it be destroyed.
SexyGrill let out a small laugh, clearly amused by how tense Broken had looked just moments ago, completely worried about Zepy’s survival.
Broken turned to her, frowning slightly. “What? You have no idea how stressed I was. Do you know how much this golem cost me?”
She continued laughing. “Looks like we can’t use the golem anymore. I’m sure the dragonkin will be way more alert now.”
“Yeah… at least we still have Pawpaw.” He let out a sigh, still recovering from the near loss of his flying creation.
Once he was certain the dragonkin had flown far enough away, Broken finally relaxed, leaning back against a tree with SexyGrill beside him.
Meanwhile, Pawpaw was still tracking them, running through the forest as fast as he could. Even if he couldn’t match their speed, he kept following in their direction, hoping to find clues about their destination.
With no immediate threat nearby, Broken took a deep breath and made his next move.
He summoned Polly.
Without wasting time, the two of them climbed onto the bird-like mount. They had to be careful—using Blaze at night would be too risky, considering how bright and fiery the beast was.
This time, stealth was more important than power.
Broken and SexyGrill continued their journey through the night, constantly hounded by monsters from every direction. By now, they were used to this relentless jungle, where high-level creatures lurked everywhere, waiting for a chance to strike.
But despite the never-ending battles, Broken had to keep moving—he had to follow Pawpaw’s direction and make the most of their time before he was forced to log out.
Then, after hours of non-stop combat, it finally happened.
Pawpaw signaled him.
And it came right after they had barely finished another fight.
Without hesitation, Broken activated his Shared Sense skill, shifting his vision to Pawpaw’s perspective.
What he saw… was a location unlike anything they had encountered before.
Near the summit, a massive cliff rose high into the sky, towering above the dense forest below. From where Pawpaw stood, Broken could see strange openings along the rocky walls, leading somewhere deep inside.
The entire place looked like a fortress carved into the mountain itself.
Pawpaw crept closer, trying to get a better look.
But then—he suddenly froze.
Right as he stepped out into a clearing, the demon cat stopped dead in his tracks.
Broken frowned. “What’s wrong, Pawpaw?”
He focused, observing through Pawpaw’s eyes, and that was when he finally saw it.
A transparent layer covered the entire massive area, stretching across the cliffside and everything within it.
A domain.
The entire place was protected by a powerful barrier.
Broken immediately ordered Pawpaw to retreat, not wanting to risk the dragonkin detecting him.
This place was clearly hidden for a reason.
If they had gone through the trouble of shielding it with a domain, then there was definitely something important inside.
Broken took a deep breath, his mind racing with possibilities.
Then, he turned to SexyGrill and spoke with certainty.
“We’ve finally found our destination.”
