LEGENDARY BROKEN PLAYER - VRMMORPG
Chapter 774 - The Pride Champion SpeaksBroken pulled SexyGrill deeper into the trees as the ground trembled violently, a powerful gust of wind whipping through the branches, causing them to sway and rustle.
The shadow of something massive loomed overhead.
A flying monster—its enormous wings cutting through the air—soared past, just above the canopy, sending another strong burst of wind crashing down toward them.
“Epic-grade Wyvern…” SexyGrill whispered as she caught sight of the creature, its form resembling a dragon as it glided past.
“Level 265,” Broken muttered.
A Level 265 Epic-grade monster, roaming the outer regions of the forest?
That seemed excessive.
Shouldn’t monsters of this caliber be deeper within? This area was still accessible to adventurers and nearby townsfolk—so why were the monsters here already so strong?
“Why are the monsters in this region so high-leveled?” he murmured. “No wonder players from the West Continent tend to have higher levels than those in the South Continent.”
SexyGrill giggled at his remark. “That’s because you guys in the South Continent have it too easy. It’s safe over there, so most players stay in their comfort zones, taking it easy.”
“I suppose that’s true,” Broken admitted. “Dissidia is very safe… aside from the occasional Level 400 Named Demon dropping by for a visit. But, you know, that doesn’t happen too often,” he added sarcastically.
SexyGrill burst out laughing at his response.
Broken carefully observed the Wyvern as it circled above the area. Zepy, his flying golem, hovered at an even higher altitude, giving him a clear aerial view of the situation.
There were no other large flying monsters nearby—just a few smaller ones scattered in the distance, their levels far lower than the Epic-grade Wyvern.
But an Epic-grade monster…?
That was valuable.
“We kill it,” he murmured.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” SexyGrill immediately responded.
Broken turned to her. “It’s an Epic-grade monster. More than that, it’s high-level. If we can at least get its monster core, it’ll be worth a fortune.” Read exclusive chapters at My Virtual Library Empire
“No…” she shook her head. “I’m sure taking down a monster of this level won’t be easy. And worse, it could attract others like it.”
“Really?”
SexyGrill nudged his shoulder. “You seriously don’t realize how overpowered you’ve become, huh? Now you just assume everything is easy.”
She let out a sigh before continuing, “An Epic-grade monster in this region? That means it’s classified as a raid monster. Taking it down would require a full party—if not more. And on top of that, it’s a flying monster. Attacking it from the ground would be incredibly difficult for us.”
Broken fell silent, processing her words.
At that exact moment, the Wyvern flapped its wings and soared away into the distance.
And just like that, he felt like he had watched a treasure chest fly out of his reach.
“What a shame,” he muttered under his breath.
Once the Wyvern had flown far enough from their location, Broken and SexyGrill emerged from their hiding spot, mounted their rides, and resumed their exploration of the forest.
If there was already one Epic-grade monster in this area, did that mean there were more of its kind nearby? Or possibly something even stronger—like a Unique-grade monster or, worse, a Legendary-grade monster?
While the thought of rare loot from high-level monsters was exciting, there was also a real danger in pushing forward.
The deeper they went, the stronger the monsters would become. Their numbers would also likely increase, making future encounters even more difficult.
And more importantly, this only reinforced one thing—if the Dragonkin Tribe lived in this region, then their levels must be just as high as the surrounding monsters.
Their journey was about to get much tougher.
“You’ve gotten insanely strong, you know,” SexyGrill commented, as if continuing the conversation from earlier.
“You think so?”
“Yeah. Ever since you defeated a Level 400 Named Demon… I feel like exploring a forest like this must seem so easy for you now, right?”
“No…” Broken responded immediately.
Because he knew the truth. That victory wasn’t his alone.
“Not really, Grill… You know that was only possible because of everyone’s efforts, right?”
But for some reason, Broken felt like he was intentionally seeking out greater challenges to face.
It wasn’t about arrogance or overconfidence—not at all.
It was just that… he knew there was so much more power out there, still far beyond his reach.
Even now, facing Ivana—who had fully regained her Dragon Form—would likely be a huge struggle for him. She had grown far stronger than before.
Because, in truth, Ivana was none other than the Ancestral Wielder of the Greed Champion! That placed her on the same level as King Elandorr—or even the High Elf Queen from the Central Continent.
And that was another huge problem.
The High Elf Queen was likely hunting Ivana down, adding even more pressure on him.
What kind of abilities did that queen possess?
“According to ancient quest lore, she had the power to distort reality itself. Yes—she could bend and reshape existence as she pleased.”
That was how terrifying the strength of a Pride Champion was.
No—more than that.
It was how terrifying the Ancestral Wielders of the Divine Champions were as a whole.
And right now, the High Elf Queen was the only one still known and recognized in the present day.
The others had either vanished—like the Lust Champion, who was once the Fae Queen—or were presumed dead, like the Sloth Champion, King Elandorr… who had long been declared deceased.

It was another interview conducted by the Eternal Challenge organizers.
This time, the screen displayed a man in his 30s, with short black hair and distinct Asian features, seated casually on a sofa alongside the host.
“We have someone who’s been receiving overwhelming support—especially from his home country. Here he is… Stormbreaker!” the host announced.
The man responded with a slight bow, a faint smile, and a small wave to the camera.
“I know a lot of people are curious about your preparations for the Duel of Champions—especially after your last two matches, where you absolutely crushed your opponents,” the host continued. “You won with incredible record times.”
The man replied with a calm expression.
“Well, to be honest, those matches weren’t difficult at all. I haven’t even had to use my ability as the Pride Champion yet,” he said casually. “But I think I’ll get through the group stage without any trouble. So yeah, I’m hoping to face another top player from my country in the finals—I think it’s a real possibility.”
“Are you talking about Frostedge?” the host asked.
“Yeah, who else?” Stormbreaker smirked. “Frostedge is a swordsman, just like me. And coincidentally, we’re both Pride Champions. So I know a match between us is something a lot of people would be excited to see.”
The host chuckled and gave a light clap, clearly impressed by his guest’s confidence.
“But Stormbreaker, you do realize that your next opponent is Broken, right?” the host pressed. “He’s also rumored to be a Divine Champion, though there’s been no direct confirmation from him. And he’s been crushing his opponents ridiculously fast—setting a record of three seconds in his first match.”
“Well, yeah, I know him,” Stormbreaker replied with a calm shrug. “I watched his fight alongside Frostedge against Galactron. I saw everything.”
He paused briefly before continuing.
“But…”
His voice trailed off for a moment before he smirked.
“If Broken is relying on his weapons to defeat me, then he’s wasting his time. I have both—a powerful blessing and exceptional weapons. And more than that—” he leaned forward slightly, his tone sharp with confidence, “—I’m even better with a sword than Frostedge.”
“So, you’re confident you’ll win against Broken?” the host asked.
Stormbreaker scoffed. “He’s not even on my list of concerns.”
