Snow Dream frowned as the area around the death star began to fill with a thick green mist, resembling the dense algae of the ocean, its concentration terrifyingly high.
“Don’t worry, this isn’t poison fog. It’s just the corpse bugs on the ground being burned to a crisp,” Orson said casually.
Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Orson’s body radiated with shimmering light, and his level skyrocketed.
“From level 26 to 30… in just 10 seconds?”
The group stared in shock, never having seen such a ridiculous leveling speed. Orson only smiled and said nothing. This rapid growth was mostly due to the experience being shared with the guild members. Otherwise, the million corpse bugs alone would have been enough to push him straight back to level 40!
Suddenly, Poison King Sinternan trembled and screamed, “Forbidden curse… This is a fire-type Forbidden curse! This bastard wants to take us all down in one go!”
“Run, hurry! Use spatial items to teleport away!” Snow Dream shouted, urgently looking toward Usher.
“I’m sorry, but no one can leave,” Orson said as Black Soulfamiliar appeared with Naoko, who casually linked her arm around Orson’s shoulder.
“Silent Eclipse!” Naoko smiled as she spoke.
Yamata no Orochi, who had been completely still up to this point, suddenly attacked. Under the shadow of A-rank dark magic, all items below the divine artifact level were forced into cooldown.
“You!!” Usher’s face turned pale, fury and panic mixed in his gaze as he glared at Orson.
With Snow Dream’s help, he had managed to acquire nearly half of the Soul Seal. But if they died here, the consequences would be catastrophic. Not only would they lose the precious gear they had obtained from the Titan Council, but even the Soul Seals they had just acquired would be lost!
Snow Dream remained calm and spoke, “Even the range of a Forbidden curse isn’t unlimited. We can still make it if we leave now!”
With that, Snow Dream mounted her Holy Light Silver Dragon and flew off. The others followed suit.
Orson did not respond. In his eyes, the players around him were as good as dead already.
Naoko covered her mouth and laughed, tears mingling with her smile. “Orson-kun gave me a burning star, and I’ll die with him in a romantic blaze, while you’ll be left as our burial offerings.”
“This time it’s not happening. Maybe next time,” Orson replied with a smile, gently pushing Naoko away. She looked at him, stunned.
To her, the expression on his face was colder than ice, even more chilling than the damage of the Forbidden curse itself.
“Magic Eye.”
“Mirror of Folding.”
Two beams of light, like fireflies, appeared before the death star, just before the Hellfire explosion was about to unfold. The beams quickly transported the star to Orson’s side.
With a casual step, Orson walked through the space pathway and in an instant appeared 40 kilometers away.
Looking back, he saw a crimson light flashing, and the fiery brilliance sweeping across the battlefield where the Titan corpses lay.
There was no expected massive explosion, only an eerie silence that felt utterly despairing.
Bradley: “Is anyone still standing? I’ll kneel before anyone who’s left!”
Old Yin: “Did you see that? All of that was my work!”
The group gasped, chills running down their spines.
A vast crimson region spread out before Orson’s eyes, beneath it a massive crater with a 10-kilometer diameter. The entire terrain of Titan’s land had been transformed!
Endless flames continued to burn, the void itself boiling as it incinerated everything in its path. It was like a giant furnace, threatening to burn through the very sky!
Orson’s face was bathed in the red glow. Even from such a distance, he could feel the intense heat wave, almost intoxicating in its ferocity. Continue your journey with My Virtual Library Empire
“This is… insane,” Orson muttered. He didn’t want to say the last word, but given the situation, no other description seemed fitting.
Because this was the sheer, violent power of a fire-type Forbidden curse!
SS-level Fire-Type Forbidden Curse: Hellfire Burn
Effect 1: Heaven-burning flames. Consumes 30,000 mP to release Hellfire. Anyone passing through the affected area experiences burning damage that deals 10% of their health every second for 1 minute. This effect cannot be dispelled by anything below an S-level dispel. Effect 2: The suffering of all life. Causes 200,000 + five times spell damage within a 10-kilometer radius. Cooldown: 24 hours.
Due to the divine item Gaedashiram·Rage being used to release it, the skill’s attributes were enhanced, resulting in an exaggerated effect that would not have been possible if cast by a regular fire-type Forbidden curse mage.
Even if it didn’t kill everyone directly, it would certainly burn them to death.
Even with just Effect 1, Heaven-burning flames, at this stage, very few priests would be able to dispel the Heavenly Burn buff.
Orson waited a full minute before daring to approach the Forbidden curse area. It had turned into a volcano that had been torn apart by the intense flames.
“Big win,” Orson grinned as hundreds of treasures shot up into the air.
Others had their eyes on the things he carried, but Orson had long since claimed all the loot from the players and wish pool items as his own.
This was his high-risk gamble!
He had sacrificed himself as bait to ensure that all the Titan seat holders would perish here!
No mercy!
Only more ruthless!
Orson rode his Crimson Lizard King down and began to frantically scoop up loot, his grin stretching from ear to ear.
“You’ve obtained…”
Divine Artifact: Demon Sada’s Key. Divine Artifact: Thunder God Seal Emblem. Divine Artifact: Level 50 SS-class Job Secret Scroll. Divine Item: Thunder God Exclusive Accessory Crafting Blueprint.
Orson picked up an ancient tome resembling a magic book and thought, Looks like Kalrien made a huge profit with the final wish round.
Too bad, the old man had a tough life, but in the end, Orson had taken everything from him.
“This item belongs to Thunder God’s Blessing exclusive. You cannot view the specific attributes.”
Orson frowned. Apart from the job awakening secret scroll, most of these personal items were high-end artifacts tied to specific growth paths, available only to those who had completed the prerequisite quests.
