“He is my husband; naturally, I will take care of him,” Xiao Chuxia felt like she must have lost her mind these past few days. If not, why would she get close to Zhou Ziming and ignore Yu Fei? She clearly loved Yu Fei so much that she wished she could carry him in her pockets and make sure that no harm reached him.

However, before she could say anything, Master Zhou pulled Village Head Zhou back. He whispered to her, “Madam, you need to calm down. Think of your position and our family. If you say anything right now, then our village will lose the disaster relief, and the villagers will be furious as well.”

“That’s right,” Master Su pulled his wife behind and said to her, “If you say anything right now, it will only harm us. So please think of our family and your position as the village head of the village.”

Village head Zhou pursed her lips. She had to admit that what her husbands were saying was indeed the truth.

“Shh, don’t go around saying such things,” another woman pulled the one who was complaining. “If Village Head Zhou hears you say such things, she will not let you off.”

“Who is she to not let me off?” The first woman snapped harshly. She glared at the Zhou family before saying to her friend, “I knew that the Zhou family was going to get into trouble. What kind of fool would use Madam Yu’s name for no reason? Isn’t it a lie that could be caught at any moment?”

The woman snorted and angrily stated, “It’s one thing that they got involved in trouble, but they also dragged the entire village down with them. Now I can only hope that we will find Yu Fei safe and sound. If not, we can all forget about living a decent life.”

Though Yu Dong couldn’t stop the entire disaster relief completely, she could stop the supply of the good things.

After all, it was she who supplied the fruits and vegetables, including the rice!

And Village Head Zhou and her family actually ended up making an enemy out of that woman!

Village Head Zhou could hear the dissatisfaction of the villagers and was really angry. Why was everyone blaming her? Did they think that she wanted this to happen? She was also fooled!

If she had known that Yu Fei was the uncle of Yu Dong and was related to her would she do such a foolish thing?

The villagers kept searching for Yu Fei, and with the threat of losing their disaster funds, no one dared to go back home and sleep.

While the villagers were praying that they would find Yu Fu as soon as possible, Zhou Ziming kept hoping that Yu Fei would never be found. As long as that mer was gone, he had enough ways to make Xiao Chuxia marry him.

Others also agreed with her; they also thought that Yu Fei was not at the village and must have gone to the Big River Village. After all, how could such a big mer disappear into thin air and neither of them could find him?

The only explanation was that he was not in the village!

It wasn’t that they were not willing to search for Yu Fei anymore, but they were truly tired! After looking around the village more than two times, how could they not be tired? Now all they wanted was to lie down and go to sleep!

Her words caused the villagers to blush furiously.

“We haven’t searched the mountains yet,” Xiao Cai suddenly spoke up, and everyone turned to look at him.

“The mountains?” Zhou Ziming let out a light-hearted chuckle. He said to Xiao Cai, “Why would a mer go up the mountains for no reason? Unless he had something that he needed to hide.”

Mammy Cao turned to look at the mer who was chuckling and questioned angrily, “Do you think that the slap wasn’t enough? Want to receive another one?”

Her words slapped the smile off Zhou Ziming’s lips as he hurriedly hid behind his mother. He did not say anything anymore but instead glared at Mammy Cao while peering at her from behind his mother.

‘Humph, don’t blame me for being ruthless,’ Zhou Ziming thought in his head as he looked at Mammy Cao, who was eyeing the mountains.

“Let’s go and search the mountains.” Mammy Cao didn’t know why but felt a bit nervous while looking at the mountains. She had a really bad feeling.

The villagers were unwilling, but the second they were glared at by Mammy Cao, they had no choice but to follow her to the mountains.

Who asked Mammy Cao to be related to Yu Dong!?
