A normal godclad should be feeling great pain during the transformation, experiencing more temptations, and undergoing changes to their existence at the same time.
This phenomenon is why 90% of the rank 3 godclads who try to become rank 4 godclads die during the process or mutate and lose control. This is despite the fact that their bodies haven’t been fully converted yet.
Becoming an epic being is a watershed. The bulk of godclads in existence are at rank 3. It is not that many of them don’t try to become rank 4. Many of them do try to become epic beings, but many of them die during the process.
So it’s not an understatement to say that godclads die mostly from trying to become epic beings. It is not murder that is responsible for the death of most godclads. It is the process of trying to acquire more power that kills them.
What’s more, this problem can’t be solved. It will continue to remain within the godclad and will rear its head stronger during each advancement.
Rank 4 beings will have to struggle with their body trying to turn on them and lose control every day. The problem will only increase as they try to become stronger until they finally die.
Of course, this isn’t a problem for Legion and has never been a problem for them. The thing that has been responsible for most of their deaths in the future has always been murder, not their divine flesh.
What they felt currently was some discomfort as their body transformed. It was supposed to be painful, but their threshold for pain is too high. At most, their shifting bones and muscles only made them feel impatient for it to be over.
After assimilating the rank 4 divine flesh of the pathway of undying, they immediately began assimilating the rank 4 divine flesh of the pathway of killing. They didn’t waste time relaxing at all.
The same thing happened with the three previous divine flesh of the pathway of killing. The three of them entered their body and began transforming it.
The difference was that the process of transformation was more difficult and took longer. It was because their body isn’t pure anymore. There are already three divine flesh in their body.
Even though the previous three divine flesh in their body didn’t actively resist the transformation of the three new divine flesh, the transformation still took a lot more time and was still very dangerous.
This increase in difficulty and danger is why godclads with two pathways rarely become rank 4 in both pathways and why godclads with three pathways can never become rank 4 in all three pathways.
In fact, anyone with the potential to have two pathways and who has common sense won’t try to acquire two pathways at all.
One pathway is already enough to kill 90% of godclads. Acquiring a second pathway is something only suicidal people do.
This is why Silver Mirror didn’t acquire a second pathway even though he had six souls. He cared too much for his life and wouldn’t do something so suicidal.
It is also why the god of justice didn’t acquire his second pathway until he became desperate and was ready to die. There are many people like him who were desperate, but only he managed to survive and go on to kill the strongest god.
An epic godclad with two rank 4 pathways is already a rarity. An epic godclad with three rank 4 pathways is impossible. As for an epic being with four rank 4 pathways, it is unheard of.
This unheard-of achievement is still some ways from them. In the meantime, they can only enjoy the power of two rank 4 pathways.

The most impressive change about them is the improvement of their spiritual energy. Other epic beings also experience an explosive increase to their spiritual energy at rank 4, but it is not like them.
A normal rank 4 epic being will experience an increase of 40 to 160 in their spiritual energy capacity. But they have an increase from 480 units to 1,200.
Only a rank 7 legend can match their capacity. But that’s only because they have only advanced two of their four pathways to rank 4. When they advance the remaining two pathways to rank 4, their capacity for spiritual energy will be even more impressive.
And as usual, they got more divine abilities to use with their large amount of spiritual energy. The two new abilities are impressive, as rank 4 divine abilities usually are.
The Blood Limbs divine ability is an ability that allows them to create long, tentacle-like limbs that they can use for attacking. This is similar to the tentacles that the rank 3 mutant killer that fought the lamp bearers used to kill them.
The Blood Limbs make it so that they don’t have to worry about being outnumbered. They can create more than one Blood Limb, and they can use all of their divine abilities with the Blood Limbs.
So if they are surrounded by enemies, it will be uncertain who is being outnumbered. And if they are fighting only one person, then it will be certain who is being outnumbered.
