After the three divine abilities of the pathway of killing were added, the blade of darkness began to shimmer all over with a red glow. Then Black Knife stabbed the whole blade into Silver Mirror’s back.
Silver Mirror was wrestling playfully with the green-haired security manager when he was stabbed. His eyes widened, and he screamed in pain.
As someone that was very afraid of death, he didn’t panic at all. His instinct to escape was top-notch. He activated Phase Shift on his whole back, pushed away the woman he was wrestling with, and ran away from his attacker with all his might.
He was stronger and faster than the assassin. So he should have managed to escape. Unfortunately, he couldn’t escape because something began to drain his spiritual energy and caused him to feel great pain.
His head felt dizzy due to the loss of spiritual energy and the blood loss. The blood loss appeared to be the most serious thing right now because his Phase Shift hadn’t saved him from more stabs to his back.
If Black Knife had used only his blade of darkness, he wouldn’t have been able to stab Silver Mirror after Phase Shift was activated. But he had also used Sever, which was a divine ability that could cut anything.
The red light of Sever broke through the spatial barrier than Phase Shift had created in order to defend Silver Mirror. The effects Phase Shift was directly broken and the flesh that it was protecting was exposed to the edge of the sharp blade of darkness.
Black Knife also activated the rank 3 divine ability of the pathway of killing called Stun. This divine ability does what it is called. It stuns people when a killer injures them.
This is the passive effect, though. Its activating effect is to injure the spirit. So Stun is a divine ability for attacking spiritual entities. But physical entities who are affected by it also suffer.
So Stun is the spiritual version of Sever. If Silver Mirror were a spirit, he would be critically injured with one hit. But he still had a robust physical vessel to protect his soul. So the most that Stun could do was make him freeze.
Silver Mirror was stunned. His mind blanked out, so he didn’t try to run or defend himself anymore. He stood there as Black Knife carved into his back. In no time, Black Knife had stabbed Silver Mirror in the back six times.
The effect of Stun on Silver Mirror was too short. Silver Mirror had a more powerful spirit than Black Knife, so he could only be frozen for a fraction of a second.
If Black Knife doesn’t hit him with Stun again and again, he will break free. In fact, he tried to break free many times. But no matter how many times he tried to escape, Black Knife stuck to him like a maggot and gnawed on his flesh till his bone was exposed.
The attack has only been for one second. The other godclads in the room were just reacting to the sudden attack while Silver Mirror had been pushed towards the edge of death.
This amount of injury isn’t enough to kill Silver Mirror. In fact, the six gaping wounds on his back are still mild.
The most serious one is the injury to his spine. Apart from this, he is mostly fine. But if something isn’t done to interfere in the process of acquiring injuries, he will really die.
The green-haired lady who Silver Mirror had been wrestling with was closer, so she was the first to come to his rescue. The giantess was still on the other side of the table, so she still had to jump over the table to come to the rescue.
The green-haired lady had lost her shirt in the wrestling fight earlier, so her large breasts were exposed. The two breasts shook and swayed as she rushed over.
She didn’t come over to Black Knife to fight him hand to hand. Instead, she took out a handful of seeds from the pouch around her belly and threw them at Black Knife.
The seeds flew through the air but missed because Black Knife dodged them. Black Knife came in front of Silver Mirror and used him as a shield to block the seeds. He did this while still stabbing Silver Mirror all over.
Black Knife himself didn’t know what those seeds could do. He dodged them because his master had told him to dodge them.
Legion confirmed the identity of the green-haired woman immediately when she took out seeds. She was a godclad of the pathway of life, so her seeds must be avoided.
They already had suspicions about her identity when they first saw her green hair, green eyes, and bountiful figure. The godclads of the pathway of life usually have these mutations.
Both the male and female of the pathway of life have green hair and green eyes. The males are handsome and tall, while the females are full and bountiful. They are the models of fertility, but they are not harmless.
The rank 1 divine ability of the pathway of life is called Nurture. This is a divine ability for raising plants and animals. It quickens their growth and helps them to survive adverse conditions.
Legion knew this, so they knew that if those seeds landed on Black Knife and Nurture was used on them, Black Knife would change his profession from assassin to become a seedbed.
He was able to avoid the seeds for now, but his troubles weren’t over. The giantess came over wielding the chair that she was sitting on and swinging it like a club towards him.
Black Knife dodged for a while, but between the seed thrower and the chair smasher, he was cornered. There were just rank 2, so he could easily kill them if he fought them, but Legion told him to focus on Silver Mirror and only Silver Mirror.
