Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Chapter 1415 - 1415: Both sides' statements

From MC’s Perspective:

Looking at the black arrowhead, I have decided to show it to Manager Lara. Since the metal is rejecting mana, Manager Lara could tell me more about this metal.

Then I continued the work.

Meanwhile,

The whole magic city is yet to recover from the shock. The name of the new wizard seed of the Silver Tower, Vincent Carey, echoes in each household of the magic city and the surrounding satellite cities.

Especially those who won their bets are praising his name. But the people who lost the bet are cursing the Doyle Family.

Because of the Doyle Family, a few of them lost their bets twice. The Doyle Family’s name used to be resounding, as they had produced two wizard seeds from their family.

But right now, the whole magic city is ridiculing them. Everyone thinks it will take time for the Doyle Family to recover their name and prestige.

At the same time, the other wizard families think the Wind Elemental Tower and the Black Tower made a mistake by trusting them.

Post noon, earth-shattering news caused the magic city and the satellite cities around it to tremble in fear and shock.

The Wind Elemental Tower has put out a statement this noon, saying:

[Wizard Seed Peter Doyle’s mana core was damaged in yesterday’s duel. He has been declared crippled. As of today, he has been kicked out of the Wind Elemental Tower.]

This news came out of nowhere and shook everyone to the core. They hadn’t expected Vincent Carey’s magic spell to be this powerful; it has damaged the mana core of a wizard seed.

Then people started to wait for the Doyle Family to put out a statement. They wanted to hear confirmation from them.

It didn’t take long for the Doyle Family to put out a statement.

[The whole Doyle Family is distressed by Peter Doyle’s condition. Right now, the family is focused on his recovery.]

The public thought that message was short. They were expecting some kind of outrage against the Silver Tower and Wizard Seed Vincent Carey.

But nothing like that happened. The major wizard families knew that the entire Doyle Family must be fuming against the Silver Tower.

Everyone must be hating Wizard Seed Vincent Carey. They thought Vincent Carey was fortunate to be a member of the Silver Tower.

Otherwise, the Doyle Family would have put a bounty on his head right now.

It didn’t take long for the news to reach the households of the Nicholson, Cox, and Susan Park families. They were dumbfounded.

Because they had not seen such a scene yesterday. Peter Doyle was severely injured with broken bones, but his mana core was fine. Otherwise, the old man referee would have acted.

They immediately thought something must have happened after the duel. Everyone felt a chill down their backs.

Meanwhile,

Manager Lara immediately went to the underground storage room to see Vincent Carey. She had seen those statements as well. She didn’t want Vincent Carey to leave the Silver Tower for the time being.

When she got there, she saw Vincent Carey had uncovered many items. She knew these items were piled up during his absence.

“Did you find anything useful?” she asked.

Hearing that, I looked at her with a smile. I was about to call her, but she arrived before that.

“A few items are valuable, but the rest of them are scraps,” I replied.

Lara thought about the statements.

She asked, “Vincent, did you watch the news?”

I raised my eyebrows in confusion. Is she talking about my duel reactions? Then I said, “No.”

Hearing that, Lara didn’t say anything but took her flat device out. She then turned it on before accessing both statements.

“Here, see the statements here. They were released by the Wind Elemental Tower and the Doyle Family,” Lara said.

Hearing that, my expression turned serious.

I took her device and started reading the statement on the device screen.

A hint of disbelief flashed in my eyes after reading the Wind Elemental Tower’s statement. Then I read the statement released by the Doyle Family.

After reading both of them, my heart was heavy. I then handed the device back to her and said, “His mana core was unharmed at the end of the duel.”

“I have confirmed it. But something must have happened to him right after the duel,” I added.

Lara nodded her head before saying, “I thought so.”

“But for your own safety, don’t go outside of the Silver Tower for the time being,” Lara said.

“Okay,” I replied.

Then I remembered the black arrowhead.

“Manager Lara, look at this,” I said as I handed the black arrowhead to her.

Lara took the black arrowhead and began to observe it with a curious gaze.

“It’s very rare to see such a pure black arrowhead,” she said with a smile.

“Use your mana and try to apply it on it,” I said to her.

Hearing that, she did the same. But then she found out that the mana was rejected by the metal. Her eyes widened in surprise.

“It’s an anti-magic material,” she said in a serious tone.

“Where did you find it?” she asked, turning around to look at me.

“I found it inside one of the packages,” I replied.

“Though it’s an arrowhead, it’s extremely valuable—more than some luxury jewels. I’ll ask Forbidden Wizard Charlotte to see what to do with it,” she said.

“It’s a good idea,” I uttered.

Then we spoke about a few other things before she left the place. When she was gone, my attention immediately turned toward the statements.

Is someone plotting against me? But they can’t accuse me of destroying his mana core. Everyone was there yesterday. The old man referee confirmed it as well.

I hope the Doyle Family is sensible. If they unnecessarily want to target me, then I would have no choice but to deal with them.

Then I collected my thoughts before focusing on the work.
