One might wonder why Adam found himself in such an inexplicable situation just a few moments after leaving the starting zone.
Well, as weird as it was, it was hard to fault for what happened. As he was more surprised than anyone else.
It all started when Adam decided that it was time for him to explore this new world that he found himself inside of and grow stronger.
But still, while he started advancing through the forest, he could not stop himself from marveling at the sight that presented to him.
The world of mirrors was truly beautiful. Of that, there could be no doubt.
Adam observed the forest with his enhanced vision, looking at the rivers as well as the gigantic chess pieces like mountain that were stretching close to the distant horizon.
No matter how many times one looked at it, this was without a doubt a world that was straight out of a fantasy of the wildest imagination.
The air was pure and fresh, giving one a fresh dose of oxygen with every inhalation or at least what he thought was oxygen. He doubted it was truly it.
The forest was a sanctuary of green and the river was of a shade of crystal blue almost akin to sapphire. It really felt like he was now witnessing a purified version of the world without a speck of dust in sight.
If there had been any doubts in his mind, now he was sure that such a place could only exist in a fairy tale.
'It's really beautiful.'
Adam wondered idly in his mind if he could simply stay on this plane one day for all of his eternal life.
He didn't know how time worked inside this plane. It was a dream after all. Perhaps years in this place would only amount to a few hours of sleep at most in the real world.
If that were really to be the case, then this was indeed a good place for him to train and effectively customize all his skills.
Even without acquiring more Dream Force to fuel his soul body, he could focus on training his basic skills and reach a higher level of power and control of his already existing skills. This would let him use them to their greatest potential while completely nullifying any form of waste of power.
'Well. Without 'The World', I will have to focus more on my physical abilities and martial arts for now.'
This was quite a weird phenomenon for him. Cecilia had trained him in martial arts and mainly boxing for years on end and while he was not a pro in the arts of boxing, he was certainly very good at it.
Enough to save himself from an encirclement of randos. Which was how he had helped Yui create her underworld empire back then through the underground fights.
However, ever since he had awakened to his powers and his trademark skill 'The World', he had rarely fought using his body. It was just not efficient or plausible for him to do so.
Everyone was just way too much physically stronger than him and the power of Telekinesis was too handy to let go of.
"My… Who might you be?"
"Is he a newcomer?"
"He is so handsome!"
"Hello, hello."
'Huh?'
Adam looked all around him, surprised by the sudden voices that were seemingly coming out of nowhere.
For an instant, he briefly wondered if he had truly gone insane due to doing that weird comedy routine with his other self. He may now be hearing voices coming from his head and developed Schizophrenia or something.
"He doesn't see us?"
"Hello, look down, big flower."
"Are you sure it's a flower?"
"My, are you discriminating because he doesn't look like a flower."
"I would never."
Listening to their discussion, Adam was finally able to understand what was happening here.
Looking down, he could see the flowers that were previously simply swaying there with the wind… now had something akin to a mouth and were able to speak with him
This was a rather disturbing sight for Adam but he had enough control in him to not show his emotions on his face. He had three minds, dammit! He was at least able to control his facial expressions by now.
Adam immediately used the 'Eyes of Truth' but all he could see was the type of flowers they were.
No skills, no title. No nothing.
They were just normal flowers— that were mysteriously capable of talking.
'This is getting complicated.'
It seemed like even the 'Eyes of Truth' were unable to function properly inside of the Dreamscape.
His two most used skills and tool of conduct were basically unavailable to him inside this domain.
Thankfully, while he could not see their information properly, he could see the color of their emotions and they were all friendly to him.
"Hello?"
In the end, he decided to simply discuss and see where this weird encounter would lead him toward.
"Oh. He answered us."
"Hello to you too!"
"So handsome!"
"I want to eat him!"
Adam never imagined that he would be considered handsome by a literal group of flowers.
Though there was a slightly worrisome sentence mixed into that idle chatter of theirs which made him vigilant.
"Well…"
"Shall we eat him?"
"It's only polite to do so."
'This escalated pretty fast.'
Whoosh~! Boom~!
Adam jumped backward and avoided the large tentacles that were breaking out from the ground.
"Oh?"
"He avoided it!"
"Does he not want to be eaten!?"
"How could this be!? He is so handsome! Surely he also has good manners."
"Are we playing tag?"
"Yeah!"
'Shit!'
Adam's senses grew wild as a feeling of danger exploded all around him.
But the worse thing here was that, even while attacking him from everywhere, they were still not leaking out even a hint of killing intent from their bodies.
They were still colored green and were still considered friendly to him…
'Ah…'
ραΠdαsΝοvεl.cοm Adam then realized a simple truth. The truth about this place.
'Fucking mirror world.'
He should have paid more attention to that fact. But that didn't matter to him right now.
"Stupid flower."
Adam muttered before placing his hands together as if in prayer.
The heat around him increased tremendously and one of the tarot cards he had prepared for this occasion appeared on his hand.
[The Sun]
Whoosh~!!!!
The heat tripled or even quadrupled with the appearance of the tarot card.
"Kyaaa!!!"
Screeches and screams filled the garden as a sea of flame drowned the plants that were attacking him with a friendly aura, scorching the ground surrounding a more than twenty meter parameter.
"Hah!..."
Adam's breath grew hurried and ragged. He had used a great quantity of power for this move but it had been quite effective nonetheless.
"Hehe! What are you saying now!? Come on, no one else? I can do this all day!"
He taunted the flowers slightly but he did so because he was sure that all the flowers had been burned to ashes.
Sadly for him,
Bang~!
Adam managed to crouch down in time and avoid being shot down like prey before a hunter.
"What the…"
"Heh. It seems like we have a new bully in town."
Looking in the direction where he was shot from, Adam could see a large group gathering at that place.
They were all wearing black suits with no pants and a pair of black glasses on their heads.
More importantly— They were actually all Teddy Bears.
It should have been a cute gathering of fluffy people.
Few things in the world could be cuter than a group of Teddy Bears in black suits?
The problem here was…
Vroom~! Vroom~!
They were all either holding large chainsaws or rifles in their squishy and fluffy paws.
"A Mafia of teddy bears?"
Adam thought dumbfoundedly but immediately moved places when more tentacles came out from the ground.
"I will eat you!!!"
'Shit.'
It was time to assess his situation and plan out his next action.
More than forty teddy bears armed to the teeth.
Some kinda enraged man-eating flower with bizarre tentacles.
Nearly no more reserve of DreamForce.
What could he do in this situation?
Slowly, Adam remembered something. A secret art that was passed down to him by Cecilia.
When facing overwhelming odds with no chance of success, there was only one way out and that was —
"See you never!!"
—Running the fuck away.
