Sylas froze in the skies.

Too fast. Too sharp.

The gap was actually so suffocating. It was like he didn’t have the right to even stand before this Glassinox.

His eyes began to dim and his life was quickly slipping away.

But his Will held on strong.

Unmoved.

Hibernation Halo.

SHUUUU!

A rippling ring of gold spread out from Sylas with him as the very center. Under the shocked gaze of the Glassinox, the hole that should have taken his heart recovered in real time.

A Serpentes’ attack was already extraordinarily weak to Sylas. The moment it touched his body, the Will of the Glassinox shattered to pieces, leaving it as nothing more than a mere flesh wound.

What flesh wound couldn’t be cured with the current ridiculous percentages of recovery boost he received from his Hibernation Realm?

Hibernation Halo… was just an offshoot of it.

’Fair enough.’ Sylas thought to himself, closing his eyes. ’The gap is too large. In that case

BOOM!

A pair of golden eyes appeared behind Sylas. In that moment, the 2999 stats of the Basilisk King, and those beyond, increased by six times.

At the same time, the suffocating presence of the Glassinox, their gap in Aether and Will, was vanquished into the ether.

Sylas’ stats soared to over 20 000 and his body nearly imploded…

But there were two reasons it did not.

First, his Will. It constrained the strength, suppressed it, culled it into obedience.

And second… he still had over 72 trillion Free Experience left.

He poured all he could into Were-For-The-Invincible.

In a single bound, it reached Level 38 and the unruly Basilisk energy within him hummed to a simmer.

The scorching heat still prowled through his body, his ears and eyes leaking with blood.

But he could hold on.

He could do this.

BANG!

He kicked at the air and shards of Glassvolt exploded, falling from the skies in a rain of sharp blades and arching lightning.

The Glassinox expected to shrug off the attack just as easily. But then the pressure hit in waves.

First came a fear from the depths of his heart. Then came the suppression of its aura. And then, its stats were cut by 15%.

Before it could react, Sylas’ attacks collided against it.

CHI. CHI. CHI.

’There it is.’

Sylas could feel it. The deformation of the enormous serpent’s scales, the slight chipping, the drawing of blood.

This was it.

So long as he could injure it, he had a chance.

His attacks were suddenly split by a roar.

An echoing sound wave rippled out in all directions, a cascade of concentric circles blasting the lightning and Glass apart.

Sylas found himself flying back as fast as a bullet. But as quickly as he was being pressured back, it wasn’t quick enough to dodge a tail that flickered up from the depths of the lake of gold. ṘαNÖβÊS

It came fast and heavy, belying the heft and sheer size of the creature it came from. Wreathed in golden lightning, its fast twitch fibers seemed to be supercharged and Sylas felt something deep within the depths of his mind shake…

Before he shrugged it off.

His expression was deathly calm and his body twisted just the slightest bit. In fact, if one was looking now, it seemed as though Sylas had already moved before the tail shot out from the ground.

The arc of Sylas’ back soared over the whipping tail, his lightning and that of the Glassinox’s intertwining in a violent dance. They bombarded against one another akin to serpents biting at one another, a peculiar dance streaming across the skies.

The Glassinox’s eyes widened, its slight pupils narrowing.

It felt that something was wrong, but it happened too quickly.

Sylas twisted in the air, stomping at the very wind and shooting forward in a blaze of lightning.

The Glassinox reacted quickly, beads wreathed and stuffed with lightning appearing across the skies. However, right then, a large mirror of Glass appeared before Sylas and he vanished with it.

Before the Glassinox could react, a second mirror appeared before his open maw.

Sylas cocked back a fist.

.

It felt like he was trying to force out a mountain through his arm. His blood vessel burst apart, black scales flying in a heavy rain that bombarded against the waters and left craters in the soft soil.

BOOM!

Blood erupted, and it wasn’t just Sylas’ own.

The teeth of the Glassinox were torn to shreds, its tongue becoming nothing more than a mass of hulking, shredded flesh.

Sylas suffered for his success. Not only was his arm shredded to pieces, but the Glassinox wasn’t in enough pain to forget to counter.

The skies rumbled and a bolt of rainbow fell from above.

The Skill was so potent that Sylas didn’t have an understanding for what level it was at. A Gene Skill? A Gene Class Form? Something beyond that reserved for E-Grades?

He didn’t know.

What he did know was that no amount of healing would mean a single thing if he was wiped out to the very last molecule.

But even now, he was eerily calm, so much so that it looked as though he could see through the very future itself.

And that was because he could.

[>Intuition] (NEW!!)

The Insight Path Talent was among the most mysterious as its descriptions were the most vague. Even Taboo Bond was far more straightforward than it was.

But Sylas… he had an innate understanding for what each of its abilities meant.

And Intuition was exactly what it sounded like. When he faced off against a Serpentes, he had an innate understanding, a deep-seated Intuition for everything about it without the need for forming a contract.

Its strengths, its weaknesses, its Skills, its Comprehensions…
