Eris and Sera arrived at Blackstone, the third strongest city in the Wolfgang Empire—only to find it on the brink of destruction.

The towering silver walls, once impenetrable, were scarred and cracked, blood splattered across the ancient stone. The massive gates that had once protected the city now lay in ruins, shattered by monstrous attacks.

And outside, stretching across the landscape like an endless tide, were monsters.

The battlefield was a nightmare.

Thousands of beasts surged forward, their eyes gleaming with unnatural hunger.

Giant ogres, their muscles bulging and skin marred by dark runes, wielded crude clubs big enough to shatter entire houses.

Shadow wolves, creatures of pure darkness, weaved through the battlefield, moving too fast for the naked eye to track—silent assassins that tore through the city’s defenses like specters.

Mutated wyverns, their bodies covered in jagged black crystals, filled the sky, unleashing breath attacks that turned soldiers into piles of melted armor and bone.

And at the heart of it all—

A monstrous chimera, its serpent tail hissing, its lion’s maw dripping with corrosive venom, and its dragon head exhaling fire that burned blue.

This wasn’t just a battlefield.

It was a massacre.

On the walls of Blackstone, the wolfkin soldiers, dressed in silver and black armor, fought with desperation.

A captain, his fur matted with blood, shouted,

“Hold the line! Hold—GAAAHH!”

His words were cut short as a black wolf twice his size pounced, tearing into him with razor-sharp claws.

Another soldier, barely out of his teens, screamed as a wyvern’s tail impaled him, lifting him into the air before tossing him aside like a ragdoll.

The defenders were losing.

They had fought bravely, but against the overwhelming numbers, against the corrupted monstrosities, they could not last much longer.

And then—

A storm descended upon the battlefield.

Eris, the Frostwind Princess—A Storm Unleashed

From the sky, a howling wind tore through the battlefield.

The monsters froze mid-charge, their predatory instincts screaming at them to run.

But it was too late.

BOOOOM!

A thunderous explosion of ice and wind struck the battlefield, sending shockwaves rippling across the land.

Eris had arrived.

Her white hair, streaked with silver, billowed in the wind. Her amber eyes, filled with unshakable determination, scanned the battlefield.

And in her hands—her sword, Frostfang, glowed with an eerie blue aura.

Without hesitation, she raised her blade.

“Wind Domain: Frost Tempest!”

WHOOSH!

A cyclone of ice and wind erupted from her, expanding outward in a violent storm.

The first wave of monsters was caught instantly.

Ogres froze in place, their massive bodies turning into ice sculptures before shattering into pieces.

Shadow wolves tried to dodge—but the cold was merciless. Their bodies stiffened, their speed nullified, and within seconds—they fell, their frozen corpses littering the ground.

The soldiers on the walls stared in awe and disbelief.

“She’s here!” one of them gasped.

“The Frostwind Princess—she’s come to save us!”

The morale of the defenders surged.

But Eris wasn’t alone.

Because in the shadows—death moved.

Sera, the Shadowblade Assassin Queen—Death in the Darkness

As the monsters reeled from the sudden storm, something far deadlier slipped into their ranks.

A whisper of movement.

A flicker of black steel.

And then—

SHNK!

A wyvern shrieked in agony, its wings suddenly severed. It crashed into the ground, thrashing violently—only for a dark figure to land on its head, driving a dagger through its skull.

Sera vanished before anyone could even react.

She reappeared behind an ogre, her twin daggers glowing with enchanted venom.

A blur of movement—

And the ogre’s head separated from its body.

SHNK. SHNK. SHNK.

Three more monsters fell in the span of a heartbeat.

The creatures panicked, lashing out at empty air.

But Sera was already gone.

Where Eris was a storm, unstoppable and overwhelming, Sera was the silent executioner.

She moved through the battlefield like a ghost, her blades claiming lives before her enemies even realized she was there.

The Turning Point—Eris vs. the Chimera

As the battle raged on, the monsters began to falter.

Eris’ icy domain continued to wreak havoc, while Sera’s unseen assassinations shattered their morale.

But then—

A deafening roar echoed across the battlefield.

The monstrous chimera, sensing the shift in battle, turned its attention toward Eris.

Its dragon head exhaled a wave of fire, hotter than anything she had ever faced.

BOOOOM!

Eris barely dodged, leaping into the air as the ground beneath her melted into molten rock.

The chimera’s lion head lunged, fangs bared—

CLANG!

Eris blocked with Frostfang, the impact sending shockwaves through her body.

This thing was strong.

A worthy opponent.

Good.

Eris’ eyes flashed.

“Wind Domain: Gale Dance!”

She became a blur, her speed increasing tenfold.

She vanished—then reappeared behind the chimera.

SLASH!

Her blade bit deep, severing the serpent tail.

The chimera shrieked in agony—

But it wasn’t dead.

Not yet.

It whirled, its dragon maw charging another fire blast.

But before it could—

A shadow appeared on its back.

Sera.

SHNK!

Her daggers plunged into its spine, cutting through nerves, paralyzing the beast.

Eris saw the opening.

And she took it.

She raised her sword, summoning all the power within her.

“Wind Domain: Celestial Execution!”

She swung.

A crescent of pure wind and ice erupted from her blade—

And cleaved the chimera in half.

For a moment, the battlefield fell silent.

Then—

THUD.

The chimera’s corpse collapsed.

The remaining monsters, seeing their leader fall, panicked.

And the soldiers, mercenaries, and adventurers—seized the moment.

With a battle cry that shook the city, they charged forward, driving the monsters into retreat.

The battle was won.

But the war was far from over.

Eris and Sera, standing atop the battlefield, looked toward the distant horizon.

The capital awaited.

And whatever lay ahead—

They would face it together.

The road to the Wolfgang Empire’s capital was long and treacherous, the lands ravaged by war. Eris and Sera, having fought through city after city, continued their march—this time, toward a village that had sent a distress signal before going silent.

As they approached, the stench of death greeted them first.

And when they entered the village—

There was no one left alive.
