Chapter 3353  Brewing

Holding their bookmarks together, they pointed them forward and filled them with Starlight Energy. This time, everyone knew about the other power of the bookmark, which was to open the seal in the Mist Library. Herbert indeed intended to open that passage without anyone noticing, though. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible anymore. The plan was quite simple. He would use his own bookmark and then rush inside with the twins' group. The Pyramid was dangerous to get close to, so they would end up being the only ones in there.

Of course, Herbert didn't know about the attacking power of the Pyramid. Before, his plan was to do the same thing, but hold his position until no one was close by and then rush inside with the twins' group. That was also off the table now.

The light that once was used to find those three extra bookmarks was now used in the direction of that single block with the image of the Mist Book. Their lights struck the mark perfectly, and the Mist Book image immediately began to shine.

What followed left everyone breathtaking. The light of the Mist Book began to spread into multicolored lines, passing by the gaps between all the blocks of the entire pyramid. *Rumble!*

Out of nowhere, the pyramid began to change form. That construction, which was enormous to start with, lifted in the air and shuffled nonstop, all its blocks moving to different positions. Before long, the Pyramid took the form of a tower, and the Starlight was once again most concentrated at the top.

*Bang!*

The tower finally fell to the ground with a huge boom, causing the collapse of countless buildings around the city, which weren't holding very well to start with. Seeing that, Rean couldn't help but glance at Herbert, who had a terrible expression. 'Your plan was to open a passage and for us to rush inside before anyone could catch up to us, right? How does that plan take place with this sudden transformation of the pyramid into a tower?'

Herbert's mouth twitched. 'I didn't know it could transform. I thought an opening would appear where the image of the Mist Book was located, and then we just had to get inside... This transformation wasn't described in the records of our ancestor.'

Rean shrugged. In the end, there was no way they could have gotten inside without everyone else noticing. 'Well, if Xesht hadn't found that passage, it wouldn't have to worry about the pyramid's transformation. Let's just count it as our lack of luck.'

*Zum!*

Suddenly, a few more multicolored lines appeared in front of the tower, taking the shape of a door. The blocks that made up that door quickly moved aside, finally showing an entrance that others could use... although no one dared to move ahead.

No one there was an idiot. They all saw what happened the last time someone tried to get close to the pyramid... now a tower. They all waited, trying to see who would be the first one to try to get close to it. As far as the majority knows, perhaps only those with the bookmarks could really get inside while everyone else would be killed.

Roan glanced at Rean, who nodded at him.

"Annoying..." Roan then commented with a cold expression, jumping from Kentucky's back and reaching the ground. In the next second, he ran to the entrance, completely ignoring any possible danger of getting close.

Roan wasn't really being careless. Rean was right on the back, and he could simply flee into the Dimensional Realm if necessary. Besides, now that Roan knew that laser, or whatever it was, could appear, Roan was confident he could dodge it. He had seen its speed and trajectory, after all.

Everyone's eyes focused intently on Roan, more than happy to let that 'idiot' take the risks. Herbert even thought that Rean, as the 'leader' of his group, had ordered Roan to take that risk. Well, he definitely wouldn't complain, that's for sure.

Surprisingly, or perhaps not, nothing happened to Roan. He arrived at the entrance, putting a foot inside, and then walking in. He didn't go all the way, though. After a few steps, he looked back. "Are you guys waiting for what?"

"Ah!" Before Herbert could answer, Kentucky dove down, flapping his wings and bringing everyone with him. Naturally, everyone else reacted, and they all followed. The Mist Library was open, and the centurions' secrets were there for anyone to take. Who wouldn't want the power that made the five centurions almost conquer an entire continent, even with several other continents fighting against them?

On the way down, Rean quickly asked Herbert. "So, we are about to get inside. What do you need me for?"

"You will see," Herbert commented. "The cultivation limit to the test will only be available in the main hall... or so says the records of our clan."

Rean nodded, and Kentucky flew inside. Yes, the passage and the tower were still enormous, so Kentucky's full size with wings spread was still quite tiny compared to the whole building. As Kentucky passed by, Roan jumped, landing perfectly on Kentucky's back as if nothing happened.

They weren't the only ones. All the other groups, including the bookmark owners, quickly passed through it as well. This time, the Mist Library truly didn't attack anyone.

On the way, Herbert's eyes kept open, looking for something. Various passages could be seen, and anyone could select any passage they wanted.

Roan then glanced behind and could see that everyone was following each other. Or, to be more specific, all the groups were following the bookmark owners. And, for some reason, the bookmark owners refused to get away from each other.

"Kentucky, go down," Roan suddenly spoke.

Kentucky nodded, landing on the hard floor made with those blocks. Kentucky changed back into his humanoid form, and he joined Rean and Rifindio by Roan's side.

That puzzled Herbert and everyone else who was in that huge queue. Even Xesht, Zantie, Kalamdra, and Salamia were puzzled, stopping as well. Then...

*Zush, zush, zush...*

Roan waved his hand, bringing out a table and a few chairs. Following that, a few rare herb leaves came from his beloved herb garden in the Dimensional Realm before Roan began to brew something.

"Wh... What are you doing?" Herbert, completely bewildered, couldn't help but ask. That was the question on everyone's minds.

Roan looked at Herbert, then at his clan members, and finally at the many flying beasts still hovering in the air with their own groups, everyone finding Roan's actions a mystery. "What else? I'm making some tea. Don't worry. I'll make some for you as well."
